Seems they enrolled us for eternity into this program
Been charging a $9 monthly fee for sending a one time request for a copy of a Birth Certificate, which was also a $19 charge. Seems they enrolled us for eternity into this program, when called they say they will cancel you for one month. I said I want out completely, they say the most they can cancel is 6 months at a time, so I either have to change my credit card number or remember to call them back in 6 months for as long as i live. Nice.

Basically what they do is put up numerous websites and all are directed to freedownloadzone where you download free software. YES! FREE SOFTWARE! and then charge you for it. if you are not very particular on checking your credit card statement you might miss it as sometimes it can be a small amount but is recurring monthly charge. but if you call them and ask why you are being charged for a trial software or free software, they'd tell you that it's not for the software but for the technical support they provide as software companies would not provide you with support for free software. this is also what they make their employees believe so they wont think they are doing something illegal. they train employees that if a caller is really pissed or says that they will call their credit card company the employee can revert the charges to prevent a charge back. i hope someone from the government look into this. they are FRAUDULENT AND SCAM AND HAVE NO RESPECT FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

Fraudulent transaction
Your site came to my notice when I was trying to contact helpmedownload.com- so many other complaints against them. In my case, having thought I paid a nominal fee to register I discovered from an online balance check that my account had been debited £75.58. Having passed on the details to my bank, I contacted Saphie Number One who couldn't help, so tried the Support line number, where the operator informed me that I had not unticked certain boxes on my application. Obviously, as they were not there for me to untick. Charges are for membership, plus some services I have apparently used, plus...you know the story. He said that if I cancelled the membership I would lose out on the benefits, but to go to freedownloadzone.com- however, neither this site nor the helpme one are available on my computer being classed as 'malicious'.
Whatever boxes I may have left ticked, in my ignorance of them, I did not authorise this payment.

I never heard of this company. I never signed up for anything, but I began to see charges for$9.95 appearing on my credit card. This company is clearly a fraud.

WOW amazing just found out these people have been taken money out of my account since 2011! WTF First charge was for 80.00 dollars thought it was something i bought off line so didn't pay no mind to it...Then after looking thru my bank records come to find out these people have been charging me 9.88 every month since plus a .30cent every tI'me. Monthly Charges to my account
I went to FreeDownload.com to install some computer protection programs to my husbands computer. They not only charged me considerably at the time of installation, I am also getting monthly charges taken from my debit card. The bank says I have to call them, the number on the debit charge does not work and can not get their web site to log in or even open up for that mater. I don't know how to stop this charge and I'm getting really frustrated. I've been taken to the cleaners on this one. Should have known better when they charged me for the program to begin with. If anyone has any idea how to make this go away, please share the info on a blod. I just want the monthly charges STOPPED

After downloading avg virus protection my laptop will only work in the safe mode. When I called they had me remove it and download PANDA. When I tried to register with Panda it required an activation code. When I called the tech support, (which I paid 3 years for) they told me to contact PANDA for it. And I have been unable to get anything from PANDA. What have I paid for? If the company cannot assist me I want a full refund. I need 24/7 tech support from the company I paid. I do not want to be told to go somewhere else for help, and then not be able to get it.
I attempted to download what I thought was a FREE virus protection program but was charged. The point is that the program would not install, something about "corrupt files" and something about trying again, which I foolishly did. This time the same results--no installation. Nevertheless, I was charged twice for a program that would not install. At present I have no program at all but have been billed twice. I would like to unauthorize this charge.
These people keep pulling money out of my account. Of course I try to go to their website and it conveniently will not open up. My bank tells me that I cannot stop payment on them. I do not even know what this is for! I have come close to bouncing my bank account and have had to borrow money from others to cover the unexpected withdrawal from them.

When I called the number, I was referred to their customer service [protected]), wherein a woman with a thick Russian accent tried to help me. She asked for my zip code, then my address, but found nothing in her system. Of course, you will not find me in your system because I did not order anything from your company, which I have not heard of. Then she asked me for my debit card number. I told her I'm not dumb and stupid to just tell anyone my credit card number, and hang up. My card was just issued in June, I haven't ordered anything in the internet, nor will use it again this way. There ought to be a law and penalizing them, and taking away their license to flinch people of their money.
On August 6, I was charged $30.22 for a service I had not requested. I'd like the charges removed frommy credit card.

I just realized from these previous complaints that I probably was taken on my debit card for Audacity Version 1.26 which is a great program for recording tapes from your boombox to the computer and then make them to CD's. However, on my old computer (bought in 2005) I had this program for free because it was a shareware download at that time. Maybe it has changed which is ok because Audacity is an excellent program. But FreeDownloadZone.com charged me $34.62 for a one year membership. That is not bad, but I do not want to be charged again. Thank you all for sharing your complaints on this internet complaints board. I will let my debit visa card company know about this for future reference. I was ordering security software and this popped up on my email from "Helpmedownload.com". I want the charges removed from my credit card. None of their website addresses will come up. What have I paid for?
The company advertises free download of AVG but on their page you have to pick options as to whether you will have 1, 2 or 3 year support package that you need to pay before they allow you to download the program. Then just before you pay they add extra charges again.
When I subsequently try to get to their website I fail to hook into their website. What have I paid for?
I would like my money back as all I wanted was to download a free version of AVG and now I have been lumbered with charges to do this.

my name is lake smith and i am unhappy with this service i had seen the advertisment where i could apply for a social security card, little did i know that it isn!t any charge by going through the ss office, they are the only one that can issue you a ss card and then i called them and have gotton nowhere .this company is nothing but a rip off i know why they are located in the phillipines, because they could not get away with this kind of business in the u.s.
I actually just noticed two charges from 2007 and 2008 on an old email account. In 2007 I was charged for a 3 year membership for $35.98 and SpyRemover for $17.88. Then in 2008 I was charged for a one year membership for $19.95. Some of you may wonder how I am just now noticing this, I was going through a lot of bad stuff at the time and money wasn't an issue so I just don't think I noticed it on my credit card. At least I'm assuming that's how I paid, I don't enter my information for stuff like this, I have always had access to great antiviruses, so this is weird to me. I'm going to go through old statements to see. But what is even more ridiculous is the fact that I got charged for a 3 year membership, then one year later I get charged for a one year? What the hell is that. Also, in my emails, I clicked on the freedownloadzone billing site and entered the Transaction ID numbers, then it showed what IP address I made the order from. Here is where it gets interesting ... Supposedly I made the first order from White Plains, New York using Abovenet Communications for my internet provider. This is very interesting considering I've never been to New York! That kind of scares me that someone somehow got my info and ordered this. I can't wait to check my old statements, maybe I wasn't even charged? I don't know. But the 2nd billing email's IP address was from the city I lived in at the time. However, when this transaction occurred, I was in Bolivia... I wish I would have caught this at the time, but like I said, my life was kind of turned upside down at the time and I was losing my mind in the chaos.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?
