Amegy Bank Racism/ racially profiled stereotyped denied services

I came in to open a business account I was denied services I was told that my dba was not in my name and I’m not the owner of my own business and the employee and another employee who was not even my representative denied me services told me that if the dba was in my name that I could open an account no problem I stated to them that the dba is in my name and I’m the owner of my business she stated to me that I am not I also have full video proof of

Everything I’m stating I went back to court house told them the banks says I’m not the owner of the dba or my business I stated to them that’s it’s verified mr.Mario villa who works for

The court house and dba llc services stated to me that the dba is in my name and that the identification number on paper is what banks use to verify a owner of a dba if the person at the banks feel if their not the owner of the business or dba which I am the owner so their was no reason that I would be denied service after going back and verify she told me to come back second day just to discriminate against me more and stereotype me more embarrassed me 2 days in a row and still denied me services both days saying that I am not the owner of my business and the dba is not in my name after me having lawful documentation ein number from irs llc original documentation I still was denied services I have full video proof of what happened to me no branch manager ever came and spot to me or no stop them from discriminating against me and flipping me off I got treated like I was piece of trash I also open a bank business account with the same paper work that same day also have proof of that but I was denied and racially profiled it was pure racism what happens to me I’m stressed and depressed about it it has honestly affected how I view my self as person it really tore me down as a person this is more then a complaint

Desired outcome: AN APOLOGY IS NOT ENOUGH AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WHAT HAPPENED TO ME IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WRONG AND AGAINST THE LAW

Amegy Bank Confused

We have been customers at amegy for over twenty years. As such, we are used to the ups and downs of any long-term financial entity that oversights your money. However, I have never had such appalling customer service as I have had with amegy in the past two weeks.

My debit card was compromised two weeks ago. As the protocol required, we reported the compromised card and requested a replacement card. On march 21, 2021, we spoke to a gentleman who took our compromised debit card claim. He then told us we could expect the replacement card sometime at the beginning of march 29th.

That seemed a reasonable amount of time as that's five or six business days. Remember most people's debit card is pre-set for various automatic monthly deductions for bills, payments, etc. My card is no exception.

Monday the 29th came and went, and no card. Tuesday the 30th came and went, and no card. So my husband and I called, and this time we got a lady. She told us it wouldn't take more than a day or two as it had already been 7-8 business days. Wednesday came and went, and no card. Thursday came and went, and since the mail already came, I found out there was still no card.

I called customer service for the third time and spoke to two different customer service reps. One stated she was a manager and her name was taylor. After she read my file, she told me it would be my fault as I told the customer service rep I spoke to before your 'manager' taylor just to cancel the card and overnight and send another one to me.

Your manager, 'taylor' implied if I hadn't done that, I could be looking at my replacement card today. Alas, since I canceled, it would be another week (or more) as the 'printing' of the card takes 2-5 days. Then the fed ex would be 2-4 days.

So this is what I found out about amegy bank's treatment of twenty-year customers:

1) every other bank in the united states has a shorter time frame then amegy bank for compromised or lost debit cards.

2) amegy bank does not care about their 20-year faithful customers

3) your customer service reps lie.

4) your manager, 'taylor' is inept at best.

5) no resolution, apology, or replacement card is being issued in an acceptable time frame.

6) my husband and I will be in on monday to withdraw all of our money to go to wells fargo.

7) your bank is a pitiful excuse for a customer service driven bank and I will ensure that everyone on social media and any other website I can find is aware of how you treated a customer of twenty-plus years.

Desired outcome: I would have liked a new debit card I didn't have to wait for a month to receive.

I wish this was the ranting of a single unhappy customer, but the EXACT same thing happened to us this month. How is it possible in 2022 that it takes 3+ weeks to replace a debit card? Amegy is a dumpster fire. Get your money out ASAP.

Amegy Bank Checking Account

This complaint is being shared elsewhere. Take note.
Adding any details other than these facts are useless, as our account has already been closed and we had no choice in the matter.

The bank officer at the Amegy Bank Vintage Park Branch named Elizabeth decided that we needed to close an account that we have had and used with NO problems for over 25 years because my wife was sent a fraudulent check by Fed-X associated with a job that she was applying for, to set up a home office. The check was to purchase office equipment and supplies for this business. The "manager" called her and told her to let him know when the check cleared the bank so that he could send over the order for the equipment to be delivered to our address. After making the deposit, I asked my wife if she felt like the manager was being honest about his business, and she seemed to think so, but we wanted to know if it was true, so we did some checking. I found out that the check WAS associated with a real law office and a real bank. I actually called the bank (CHASE BANK) and asked them if they could verify if a check that we received was real or not. Basically the bank told me that they did not have the time of day or that they didn't even care about my question. This CHASE BANK is located in the ONE TRADE CENTER in New York Yes, the building that replaced the building that was destroyed by terrorists in 2001. Anyway, I told my wife about the reception I received at the CHASE BANK, so she decided to call the LAW OFFICE the check was drawn on, and ask them about the check. After a short time they told her that the check was fake, and that they (the law firm) did not write the check. They were very gracious and wanted as much information that we could provide to them about the transaction, where it was shipped from by FED-X and so on. ANYWAY, at this point, (only a few hours after my wife had made the deposit) she called AMEGY BANK and informed them about the check being FAKE. They put a freeze on the account, and told us that they would need to let the check go through the system and get sent back from the originating bank (CHASE) before they could take the freeze off the account. This went for a few weeks, and then we were informed by the Officer that we needed to close the account, and that was what the fraud department told her to do. I called the fraud department, and they told us that it was up to the officer at the branch if she needed to close the account. In other words, the Branch officer basically lied about the fraud department telling her that the account HAD to be closed. After much conversation about this back and forth, the reason that we needed to close the account was because my wife deposited a fraudulent check into our account. She also told her that she could not open another account at AMEGY because of this. This person basically has accused my wife of trying to fraudulently deposit a check knowingly that it was fake. THIS IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. I am making sure that anyone that might get involved with any of these scammers that sent a check to them, your AMEGY BANK is not on your side. We even called the FBI and the FTC and they just told us to make a report on line, but probably nothing was going to come of it. Your bank, and certainly the government doesn't care about us it seems in these matters. If you were in our place, you would feel the same. DO your self a favor and don't trust the people at this bank to be on your side if something like this happens to you. THEY DO NOT CARE. We have owned that account for OVER 25 years!... We have never had ANY problems with our account before. We are closing this account, as we are basically being treated like some kind of criminals. This branch officer needs to get a job working by herself and have no contact with the public in any way that she must be honest.

Amegy Bank treatment while trying to file unauthorized check on checking account

I went to Amegy bank in the Vintage to try to resolve an unauthorized check clearing my account. I was told to sit and Bill would be the one to help me. After awhile, a teller informed me it might be 30- 1 hour before he could get to me. I wasn't sure what to do, so I stayed and Bill came out and asked me what was going on, I told him and he I formed me of the process to take care of it, then went back I asked if anyone else could help the answer was no. So I stepped outside to call a different location to see if they could see me sooner...and they could. No other customers were in the lobby, so when I tried to open. the door, it was locked. I was just going to inform the teller that I was going to another branch, but they locked me out. It was 11:26 am on Saturday, Dec 7, 2019 and they don't close until 1pm. Why lock the door. It wasn't locked before. Poor customer service and hurtful. If the other branch hadn't been so helpful, I would've close my account and went elsewhere. Rhe unauthorized check mess is all Amegy's fault to begin with and I'm the one suffering. Then salt on the wound, be treated like that.

Amegy Bank Waiting at the bank...

Hello, I was waiting in the parking lot at this Amegy Bank. I have a friend coming here who banks here to pay me for dog sitting the previous week. I was sitting in my car for maybe 10 minutes when I was approached in my vehicle by an employee who knocked on my window and questioned what I was doing. I told her I was waiting for someone and she told me that I needed to move because I was creating an unsafe situation for employees. I don't know, I just think it was kind of ridiculous. She told me the parking spot I was in, a side lot, is for employees. There is no indicator of this being an employee only parking lot. I did move however, and decided to take the fight to here. Attached is a picture of the "lot" that is for employees only, that made it to where I was creating an unsafe situation. I like to park further away from traffic, especially if I'm waiting so I am out of the way of normal traffic and people who are in and out. This is what I get for being considerate.

Amegy Bank The manager took our quarrel too personally and I have big problems with them now

My problem is very serious. Amegy Bank called me and asked to come to their office. The manager told me that they got some information and therefore they have decided to close my account. I was so nervous that I started to argue with the manager, so he took it too personally. I have no idea what to do next and how to solve the situation. If anyone can help me, please contact me.
