I went to try on some gowns at Burton's Bridal while I waited for my florist appointment. I didn't have an appointment but there was no one in there at one point. I asked to try on a few dresses and they said sure. They did not help me get dressed at all, my sister had to help me. We had to bag the dresses back ourselves. Then when I asked the woman that worked there who the designer was of a specific dress she replied rudely "I don't know." If you work at a bridal shop you should know who the designer of the dress is!

I feel i was treated rude because they knew I was not going to buy anything since I told them my wedding was not until 2010, but they should have still treated me with respect anyway in case I did want to order my dress from them in the future.

Future brides beware! You can get better service and help and not be treated rudely elsewhere.

I have had a great experience so far at Burtons. Carol and her staff have been nothing but amazing to me. They have answered all my questions shown support to someone they don't know especially after learning that I just lost my father. Carol even took time out to share a personal story with me; Everything just set my mind at ease. They were the only shop I could find that had a dress wanted to try on desperately. They fit me in last minute and didn’t rush me at all. They even jacked me up to the nines and made me feel like a princess! Needless to say I said “Yes to the dress”. I look forward to going back and seeing Carol and her staff again.

I agree with all the negative reviews, as they are accurate. This place has a very rude and degrading owner and the shop itself is a pigsty. We all work hard for our money - do your business with nice people who are appreciative!

I ordered a bridesmaid dress from Burton's, which initially was fine. However, when the dresses came in, the owner was so incredibly unpleasant and rude to work with and communicate with. She has a sketchy cash-only policy in order to take the dress home and not to mention the place itself is a disaster. I'm more than fine with a simple shop but this had dust and grime everywhere. You couldn't pay me to step foot in that place again. I like to do business with people who value me as a customer and this woman was as pleasant as a hemorrhoid. The owner, Carol (sp?) also yelled at me over the phone because other bridesmaids didn't come the night before to pick up their dresses. What does that have to do with me? Nothing! I had nothing to do with those girls' plans.

I've been in multiple other weddings, and based on my experiences, I suggest Bridal Reflections and The Bridal Suite of Huntington - much cleaner shops with employees who treat customers with the utmost respect.

I had the worst experience with them as well. I ordered my wedding dress with them and regretted it the second I called to make my first fitting appointment. They were so rude and didn't listen to anything I wanted when doing my alterations. They acted like it was such an inconvenience when I asked to have my dress altered so it fit me like it was suppose to fit. They never asked me what my thoughts were or what I wanted, they just assumed all I wanted was to hem the bottom. I had to sternly repeat myself to finally get them to listen to me to get the dress altered the way I wanted it. I'm such a laid back person and don't let people upset me but they truly ruined my experience and made me dread going to try my dress on. If you want good customer service I would strongly urge you not to go here. There are so many better places on LI.

Weird, because I had such a wonderful relationship with them. They were funny and very helpful. I would use them over and over again but hopefully... one time wedding. : )

I recommend them completely.

I unfortunately used them to order a dress for my matron of honor and my flower girl. We ordered both dresses months in advance, but not only did they not arrive until a few weeks before the wedding - one of them was the wrong dress. Every time I called them to follow up on the delay or ANYTHING, they were beyond rude and dismissive and acted as if I were bothering them. The manager Carole was particularly the WORST. All their orders are on little index cards (as far as I can tell) and this system clearly isn't organized nor is it effective. It just was also ridiculous that they screwed up and their attitude was so like, "Whatever. Why are you bothering me?" I would downright beg someone not to use these people as they were a complete total disaster and an embarassment to other dress places that know how to do their job.
