Blizzard Entertainment World of warcraft, prime gaming and refunds

It all started over 2 months ago when I noticed I had issues claiming my Twitch (Prime Gaming) free game license.

It wasn't showing up in the launcher after claiming it on Prime Gaming. I double checked the account links and it showed my Twitch account avatar as the linked account under my Battle.net account.

I submitted a ticket, attached screenshots that shows the game was claimed. But I was more worried about the World of Warcraft helm cosmetics. I wanted confirmation that theese had been claimed correctly as both Prime Gaming, and Battle.net showed I had linked the correct accounts.

I recieved an answer from GM Klingoura who referred me to Prime Gaming support. I contacted them and they said everything was linked correctly. I made sure to take screenshots of this and attach it to my reply for Blizzard.

I received a follow up answer from GM Ittoldore who then confirmed "I can see on our side these are in your wardrobe, you have these helms on this account.

Sometimes logging out for a while and back in will trigger this to appear, however currently there is a known issue our developers are working on where these helms are not always appearing - in short, when it is fixed you'll have the helm appear on your account.

We currently have no way to trigger these from Customer Support, but you are eligible and will receive them when the bug is fixed."

Just to be 100% safe I made replied back asking them to confirm the cosmetics were on my Battle.net tag.

I then received an answer from GM Arcaxenosi who said they couldn't locate an account with that battle.net tag.. Odd since that's the one I was logged in on and contacting them from.

So I went ahead and gave them all information I had, all e-mails I use so they could search on them.

I received an answer from GM Llirdray who then said they couldn't find any accounts with those details. Even though I was messaging from my Battle.net tag, that even used one of the e-mail addresses..

I chased it up more, as I was very confused at this point. They had already confirmed I had the cosmetics, but are now saying they can't locate my account.

I then recieved a reply from GM Specialist Frelnaars who said they could only find one Battle.net account with my details, but they said the Battle.net tag I was contacting from didn't exist.. Which was odd as how could I contact them from it?

At this point I was very fed up, I've spent a lot of money to get into World of Warcraft, I am a collector and would like to have all the cosmetics I could possibly have claimed available on my account. Loosing out on these three helms may seem trivial but it is a big point for me even investing in the game.

I chased it up again, and recieved the reply from GM Tirayalnys that they could find my account but that it was under a different #number, so it seems that was changed, whatever not the issue. They then confirmed I had redeemed the rewards but they weren't awarded.

At this point after the poor customer support handling, and loosing out on the three cosmetics and the e-sports title, I just wanted to claim a refund.

I have not used any of the game licenses I've purchased, not logged in or played the games, nor have I used any of the cosmetics purchased either. They are all on the account, unclaimed.

This was however denied, I tried opening a separate ticket but all my refund requests have been denied, saying I am not eligble for refunds even though I can issue one manually for the Dragonflight game license. Which shouldn't be possible if you go by what the Game Masters are saying.

I did receive a last reply from GM Vannthur with the excuse that they had just phrased things to cause a misunderstanding. That GM Tirayalnys never confirmed I had the cosmetics in the first place...

That wasn't even the GM who confirmed I had them, that person used the handle Ittoldore, so way to go customer support.

At this point I just want the refunds for all cosmetics and game licenses purchased under my battle.net account, as It seems it's not possible for me to get the cosmetics or title I fairly claimed. Even though it says everything is linked correctly on both Prime Gaming, YouTube and under my Battle.net account.

Desired outcome: Refund or cosmetics/titles claimed.Note all game licenses, and cosmetics, are unused and nothing has been played at all since purchase. I haven't even logged in to the game.

i had to research your issue so i could give accurate information. blizzard is a 3rd party so its not compleatly prime game content.

if you go to the blizzard site about prime games there is a redeem button.

did you press the redeem buttons there?

also there is a time limit window for each transmog.

did you redeem each one during the redeem window?

or was this a game time redeem offer? if it was it has to be redeemed on the blizzard launcher not prime game [according to the blizzard site on this.] as for refund i'm not sure that is possible since its 2 separate companies. check the receipt of your purchase for if it allows refunds.

while COD MW2 is on the battle.net app it is activision who makes the game. i don't recall blizzard or activision allowing returns on their games when a product key is used on an account. i mean if it is as bad as you say.

i am no expert on activision release day games, Blizzard entertainment on the other hand i know for about the first few weeks any launch of a new expansion is really slow. this is due to all of us going on at the same time causing the servers to flinch badly. this allows the devs to see what needs improvement [from what i am guessing] cause its the first time on the live side. it might just be first day run lag.

though id contact activision and blizzard customer service to see what you can do.

I have been receiving constant "leave penalties" due to server disconnection despite my solid game connection and having great internet. I find it ridiculous I'm being penalized for faulty servers now that gaining XP is now the primary way to unlock new features. This has happened every day, it was 3 matches, then 5, and now I have to play 11 matches to remove the penalty. I would like these penalties to be revoked for I never voluntarily left matches and do not deserve this. It's hard to remain a player when the game itself constantly kicks its players off servers and then puts them at fault for it.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate the penalties revoked upon response and I will send my information after.

while it sounds like you got hit with a chain disconnection [the link between you and the server was disrupted], that is semi intentional the penalty for "disconnect". many players in the past for various pvp games try and cheat by disconnecting via closing the app or their internet to reconnect and get a new match/group cause they were loosing. the companies that run these games made it a penalty worthy offense to leave in such a way.

i have ran into the pve version where i cant join a group for a few minutes for leaving the group. even if im kicked out or the group disbanded i get penalized for "disserting" the group.

there is far as i know [i'm no coder or work for blizzard] no way to create a program that can tell if it was you intentionally disconnecting or if it was a network issue. though im sure if you explain to blizzard the situation you might get it removed.

Blizzard Entertainment Call of duty mw2 not working on battle.net

I preordered COD MW2 so natural expected when it was released on October 28th 2022 to be able to install it and play it on the Battle.net app...

The game installed but I was met with the message "This game cannot be played yet" when hovering over the play button. Upon uninstalling and attempting to reinstall I was met with the message "This game cannot be installed yet", no matter what I do I'm met with one of those messages. I have sent 11 messages to Blizzard / Battle.net to which none have been replied to and I cant even see if the messages have gone through to be read by someone. I have also reached out on all their social media accounts to try and speak to someone, to no avail. Having spent a lot of money on this game I feel the least they could do is offer up some advice and if it cant be fixed refund the amount I spent as I do not believe somebody should pay for a service they are not receiving.

I despise complaining, but when it just seems like they're ignoring the problem it gets a little frustrating and I'm not sure what to do about it now. I'm guessing its money down the drain, but I'm not going down without a fight.

Many thanks.

Desired outcome: Blizzard / Battle.net help me get the game working or refund my purchase.

Blizzard Entertainment Past 2 patch times changed or 9 hours still down

As someone who dont have the ability to sit in from of my laptop 24/7 to play and its over 4 hours and still no servers up and all customers should get something back I pay 14..99 to play and I expect a large company to keep its promise! So what about all of the players who make your game so popular and basically pay someones yearly salary. Fix it or at least up date and say sorry whole day of no game play but were still charging you smh and enough with the patch times being changed an hour after you stated to 6 now its almost 9 an still no realms online. Man what the heck?!?!?!

Desired outcome: I WANT SOMETHING FOR THE WHOLE DAY THE SERVERS WERE ONLINE SINCE THEY SAID 3 ORIGINALLY THEN 6 AND WELL THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS AND THIS IS NOT THE 1ST TIME SO NO EXCUSES WILL BE BELIEVED!

your talking about the system maintenance for world of Warcraft? it was said since they put up the warning that it would be till 6pm pst. If your not pacific standard time you need to add or subtract hours to get the time you will be able to play without any issues. though if you are PST then that may have meant there was an issue to extend to maintenance time. this isn't new since this happens to any company.

mine is EST which means i add 3hours so it was safe at 9 pm est to play.

I was switching from a Xbox party chat to a discord call. I was removed from the match in less than thirty seconds because of inactivity. Said "inactivity" features are fair for players that fully disconnect from the game mentally to do other tasks; handicapping their teammate's experience in-game. Increasing the timer to forty-five seconds instead of thirty would be ideal... but I'm not a developer, god, or the president, so screw it. lol. Just wanted to vent. Nice dupe game by the way.

Desired outcome: Nadda since you don't care and just want our herded money.

Blizzard Entertainment Phone number requirements are unfair

making it so only post paid phone numbers are allowed to play any of your games it outright wrong. many people can't afford to buy a post paid phone contract and many would find paying for one straight up [censored]ic and a waste of money. forcing your players to buy a phone in the first place to play your games is wrong to begin with, but making it so only the most expensive phone plans are valid in order to play any of your games probably pushed thousands or millions of people away from playing any of your games.

I know you updated stuff so PREEXISTING accounts and players can use their old phone numbers, but that only treats some of the symptoms. the fact of the matter is that people who may have not played overwatch before still needs to get a post paid phone contract in order to play the game. why even put that irrelevant requirement there in the first place? why couldn't you use any valid phone number? why is a prepaid phone number any different from a post paid phone number to you? the only reason you updated things so that preexisting players can use any phone number is so you avoid the worst of the consequences, otherwise you would have kept the whole thing and never changed anything. people who have never played the game wouldn't throw as much of a tantrum as players who have spent years on it suddenly losing everything. so you appease ONLY the loud crowd, but still try to screw over everyone else. at that point, why not just lift the post paid requirement for everybody?

I will let you in on something. I refuse to get a post paid phone contract. not necessarily because it is expensive, but because they can charge me whatever they want. not to mention that I am stuck with that provider with no way out if I want to. I don't want to be trapped with a provider. what if I want nothing to do with them because of an issue? what if someone was been stealing my internet data and my bill reflects that with an obscene price, what if they charge me an obscene price because of a disagreement? I refuse to trap myself in situations when possible.

I have no clue how you thought that the post paid requirement was a great idea. I honestly have no clue how you are that blind.

all this requirement is doing is gatekeeping people from playing your game. at this point, you would have been better off making your game $60 dollars outright instead of pulling battle passes, pushed pay to get all the main characters that you should have had from the get go, and forcing your playerbase to adheed to unreasonable requirements of getting post paid phone service.

not to mention, what if someone doesn't want to give you their phone number? in what way is this phone number going to be used by the player? you don't even need my phone number. all you are using it for is "confirmation?" there are other ways enhance security curt down on cheating without forcing people to buy a phone or forcing people to give you our phone number when you would only abuse it, or force people to get an expensive post paid phone plan in order to play you stupid games.

Desired outcome: my most preferred outcome is that you remove the need to give you a phone number entirely in order to play ANY of your games. or if you refuse to that, at the very least accept ANY phone number that is active.

Blizzard Entertainment Overwatch 2 phone number

I am sorry but this requirement is just wrong. You are punishing people who have purchased a game they can not play just because I do not fork out 200$ dollars a month for a phone plan. This will not stop hackers from getting into the game. I appreciate that you want to do that for people who want to enjoy the game but punishing others is not the right way to do this. There are many steps you all have taken in the wrong direction with Overwatch 2. I now have purchased a game I can no longer play. All the money I spent on Overwatch is no wasted. It saddens me to say I will no longer support this company or buy anything from you all unless this issue is resolved. I do not think that will mean much to you all but, it is still some money you will lose.

Desired outcome: I just want to play my game again.

I spent money on many Overwatch skins and a game I now can not even play. Your policy is punishing me for not being able to afford an Iphone or Samsung along with the overly priced Sprint, T-Mobile, etc mobile bill with it. I can not afford the $300-500/ month they charge for the whole family. I do not have a tracphone. I pay a Cricket monthly bill not for minutes here and there. I have been on this family plan with no issues for years now. So, why am I being punished for that? Are you going to refund the money I am out? I don't think so. This will be the last time I support anything Blizzard until you make this right. I truly hope you reconsider and lift this policy. There are many of us that can not support you when you don't support us.

Blizzard Entertainment After waiting 45 minutes Overwatch 2 kicks me, also Watchpoint rewards were not there

I waited for 45 minutes to join Overwatch 2 servers and when I went to open my battle pass, the game kicked me before I even got to join a que. After Returning to the game from a 4-year break I find a lot of cards from my collection missing. I can't find them either in standard, wild, nor classic but I can craft them. I'm talking about cards which I had 2-4 copies of (2 normal and 2 golden ones) and they're just gone even though I've played them hundreds of times before. All cards I've owned, none of them were loaned to me because this feature came after I had left the game.

Apparently a lot of people had cards just disappear and Blizzard can't address this issue if it is more than a couple weeks old. Happened to some players post update and to some returning after just 1-2 years. Well, I've been gone for 4 years because Blizzard had made the gaming experience so bad for me back then that I had no fun anymore and now when I'm willing to give this company a second chance they just screw me over hoping I won't realize it. Unacceptable!

Desired outcome: Arcane Dust to craft the cards back, fire bad programmers who screw up updates so bad that it bugs players card collections, hire capable people and establish a decent refund system for such problems.

So this is my second time that I get a warning about gameplay sabotage! I'm not the one to throw at all unless MY TEAM! is throwing themselves. I have been sending reports to you guys about them throwing. Healers not healing or Rein players hold their shield up and not swinging and letting the other team kill him!

Dva players fly into the other team to get killed! And so on! Out of 5 people on my team YOU EXPECT ME TO TRY ALONE?! NO THANK YOU! So this is [censored]ed up because I don't try when the other 5 players are throwing?! I can get almost 60+ kills as junk or reaper and still [censored]ing lose bc my team is throwing! So i'm [censored]ing done trying to be THE ONLY ONE WHO IS TRYING THANK YOU VERY [censored]ING MUCH! and please forgive me for my language I am highly pissed off because I'm getting a warning over nothing!

Desired outcome: I would like you to do something about players who ACTUALLY THROWS THE GAME IN COMP! I don't care if people throw in quick play. I'd LIKE YOU to actually watch the videos people report and ban those who throw.

from what i recall when i asked about similar situations with a friend who used to work for blizzard. he said each report is first flagged for review and a warning is listed server side, a GM [idk the overwatch term for them] looks at the report and any recordings of the event in the report, if they deem it correct then its reflected on the user side with a official email. though companies have gone the way of automation so it could be a false flag from the AI and has to be disputed. have you spoken to customer service and disputed the warning [a second time]?

from what i recall in wow they implemented a desertion function on anyone [even people who are kicked out for no reason or leaves because the group is basically attacking them for doing nothing] who leaves a group that gives you a debuff barring you from entering again for a set amount of time and marking you [i dont think this is fair, it should be changed to reflect the situation] as a bad player to group with. not sure if there is such a program for overwatch.

if that doesnt help you might want to record on notes [paper or a doc on computer] who you played with, time and date anytime you have these "throwers".

There is a queue to log in to servers to play the game. They combined a lot of low population servers into so called "mega servers". Now you have to wait on average 4-5 hours to play the game. You cant close out of it either or your place in line will be re-set. The main issue is you pay monthly for the game service and the fact that their are now several days of the week the game is totally unplayable; while Blizzard provides no feedback or any response to thousands and thousands of complaints is insane. They can not expect people to pay for 30 days of accesses and have a good majority of that time un able to play the game.

Desired outcome: Free month of game time

there is many factors to why this happens. i know the last few days i have had connection issues due to the path my network takes to their servers. if any server on that route has an issue that sometimes causes this bottleneck in login issues. sometimes it is outside blizzard's control, though its still ultimately their responsibility to fix the issue by checking the lines if its outside your computer or internet [like if you can get to another game on a server near them then its not your end]. all MMO games go through multiple servers to access the content.

Blizzard Entertainment Wrongfully banned account.

Hello friends,

I am trying to re open my case that was Assumed Resolved. My Call of Duty account was banned and was never unbanned. Wrongfully I believe. I have put so much money and time into this account. In fact, I encourage you at Activision to verify how much money and time I put in. I got scammed by your company and have not been able to play since about May 3rd or so when I logged into my banned account Coldypwnz#5431864. Funny thing was... I was still, and still am, able to play Call of Duty Vanguard with the same account. That account being Coldypwnz#5431864. I even grinded some camos while waiting for my potential unban. So. If i am using "unauthorized software" why can I continue to play this game on this account? I would LOVE to hear the response to that. I can play Vanguard but not Warzone/MW? Seems a bit odd dont you think? I have purchased countless things, collectable, wonderful bundles from the COD Store. The Reason of my ban was "unauthorized software" but I have none such on my pc. Can you articulate AT ALL exactly what software you have detected? I would very much like to know to avoid any future penalties. So again. Articulate what software was detected. Lift my ban and let me play the game I enjoy the most. Please return my valuable account back to me.

Desired outcome: Account Unbanned/ Lift HWID Ban off my PC

Blizzard Entertainment Breach of contract

I was a subscriber to the MMO-RPG called World of Warcraft. As part of the subscription, a person is allowed to log into their servers, play the game, post messages in their text chat channels, post on their online forums, and speak in their voice chat.

On June 22, 2022, Blizzard Entertainment knowingly and willingly violated this contract by blocking my ability to post in their text chats and their online forum.

Blizzard Entertainment said they "silenced" my account to due " abusive language multiple times". They did not say what the abusive langue was.

In response to a Better Business Bureau complaint, Blizzard Entertainment stated that the "abusive language" was in fact a bible verse. They additionally said that the penalty was in place due to spamming, although they did not say this in their initial complaint. This was something they added after the BBB complaint.

1) Blizzard Entertainment's Terms of Service makes no mention of bible verses being abusive. Their Terms of Service uses vague, unenforceable language, stating only that "abusive" language is prohibited, but leaving the word undefined. It is up to the individual employee to define what "abuse" is, and this can change between employees or even the same employee depending on his mood, political or religious persuasion, or any number of factors, making it impossible for anyone to know or follow.

Additionally, contract law, which the Terms of Service falls under, required contracts to be specific in their terms, and any ambiguity falls to the favour of the person who did not write the contract, which in this case is the customer.

When is comes to the term abuse, we must also look at the type of language allowed by Blizzard Entertainment. These public text channels allow political vitriol, hated, racism, sex, adult humour. These posts are done continually and without penalty. Blizzard Entertainment can not single out a bible verse as abusive when it allows these others posts to continually be posted.

2) Blizzard Entertainment claims posting the same message to multiple channels is "spam". However, Blizzard allows multiple messages to the same channel when it comes to advertisements, people looking for groups, or guild ads. Blizzard Entertainment is simply prohibiting my posting because it is of a religious nature contrary to their own enforcement.

Courts have ruled that public spaces, even on private property, must allow free speech when speech is allowed. By allowing others to express opinions, Blizzard Entertainment is required by Court to allow my expression as well.

Blizzard Entertainment has violated the contract between us by blocking my ability to post in text chats and on their forum.

Desired outcome: Refund of three days subscriptionRemoval of penalty from accountAssurance that Blizzard Entertainment will no longer penalize for simply posting a bible verse.

this is a catch 22 of sorts. while it is true that moderators do check for "infringers" of the rules it is not always their reason to check your posts [in this case]. sometimes they look the other way if the post does not detract or cause disruption to the thread. if someone found your post offensive and reported it then they will look at the post and compare it to the report. if there is multiple reports on your posts, then they dont have a choice and must "silence" the account. your posts might have un intentionally offended someone and they reported your posts. the other side of the coin is someone might have revenge reported you for some reason. these are posted in the TOS, CS, and the EUA that they sent out.

Though this is based off what i understand from the TOS, CS, and EUA along with being for a differnt site an admin.

This company constantly advertises in game services often offering "special limited deals" The time limited ones are usually only offered when you are logged into the game.

Today June 20 2022 whiled logged on and multiple attempts to purchase one I was requested to enter my password

(this is after you charged my credit card)

Then it gives a error that they are "unable to verify account"

So you charged me multiple times and did not even bother to process the service?

I have already gone to Capital One to dispute charges

[censored] YOU BLIZZARD

Desired outcome: Contacted Credit Card to dispute
