I had gone through the whole process of my first time donating and made it to the interview. This really tall black lady with braids asked me one question "what did you eat today?" And i told her I had a glass of milk, water and a breakfast burrito from taco bell she immediately shut me down and said i hadn't eaten enough and she wanted to "terminate" the session while at the same time becoming exceedingly hostile. I asked her if she had a problem with people like me and she said "what do you mean by that" and I said "do you have a problem with white men?" She said "you have no idea" and pulled another lab coat person in to tell her that she wanted my appointment "terminated" and did this outside of her office in front of employees and patrons and publicly embarrassed me. After the tall black lady left the other woman said "this happens all the time. Go to the front and ask for Miguel" (or Michael maybe she said.) I didnt get to speak to him as i was told he was in a meeting, however, i did speak with the assistant manager, Amanda, and she understood the inconveneice and apologized and compensated me monetarily on my debit card. I will refuse to work with that other woman as i feel she is harboring hatred and brings her home life to work with her and makes others suffer.
Desired outcome: i want this woman reprimanded and given a seminar on business ethics, racial tolerance and on how to keep your emotions in check in the work place.
