My appointment today at 8:45am at the Grand Rapids Center was NOT successful. I was able to check in with the fingerprint scan and filled out my questionnaire but at the end the scanner wouldn't read my fingerprint. I have had problems with this before, so I usually go to the front desk and they print out my form, I sign it and off I go. Not today. I go to the desk, the person there says "Oh, you need to see the nurse." As I was standing there the very helpful and very professional supervisor calls me to her station and says I can help you. Well, her computer locked up and so we had to move to the nurse's office so she could use that computer instead. That one also froze up. She called the Head supervisor but that took forever because there were 4 call-ins. I heard one of the employees say to the supervisor "Did you call anybody in" the supervisor goes "No I didn't even think about it." Finally, after a 20-minute wait for this piece of paper I was able to sign and then the supervisor processes me thru. Now it's 9:20am before I get to stand in line when I should have been already hooked-up to the machine. I can hear all the employees saying it's going to be at least a 45 to hour wait to get on a machine since we are so short staff. Are you serious? I had a 10:30am appointment across time. This is why I planned for the early appointment so I should have been done by 10am. Now since they checked me in I can't change my appointment and now I'm out my $100 because this Center can't call in employees to help with all the people who scheduled.
Desired outcome: I would like my $100 placed in my account because I did everything I was supposed to do for my appointment and this Center dropped the ball. I shouldn't be punished for their stupid mistakes of not being properly staffed.
