I’ve been going to BioLife for 4 to 5 months. Everything was fine at the two locations that I went to in Appleton, Wisconsin. However, my last experience was horrible. The girl jammed the needle into my arm, which didn’t get into my vein. She tried to do that three times and then had to call somebody else over to help her out. When the saline started, it felt like my arm was just going to explode. The needle had gone through my vein, and the saline was going directly into my arm. There were four ladies helping me out. They took the needle out of my one arm and put it in the other so I could get my red blood cells back. Then I got so sick I threw up. Within the next two days, almost my entire arm was black and blue. When I called them, they just said to elevate my arm and ice and if it gets worse, go to my own primary care doctor. I donate for the money, but I also know that I’m helping people out. I feel with this experience I should have gotten more compensation than the $45. I won’t go through this experience again so I unfortunately will not be going back.
