I am writing to follow up regarding the inspection of my super king zip-and-link mattress, which was carried out by your technician on Tuesday.
The technician informed me that he would submit his photographs and findings to Bensons for Beds and that I would be contacted either later that day or the following day. However, I have not received any telephone call, email or update regarding the outcome of the inspection.
I would like to reiterate my concerns about the mattress. It is only approximately 5 wewks old, yet I experience significant sinking when lying in the middle of the bed. This results in inadequate centre support, sinking and makes it uncomfortable and, as a result makes it difficult for me to get out of bed.
I appreciate that the mattress returns to its normal shape after I get up. However, this does not resolve the issue I am experiencing. My concern is the excessive sinking and lack of support while the mattress is being used, rather than whether a permanent indentation remains afterwards.
The mattress is placed on a solid platform base supplies by Bensons for beds on same day and has been used normally. I purchased a super king-size bed for my husband and me to sleep together, and I reasonably expect to be able to use the full sleeping surface, including the middle of the bed. I do not believe it is reasonable to expect us to avoid the middle of a super king-size mattress in order to prevent excessive sinking.
I would also like to highlight that the mattress supplied to me does not feel or perform in the same way as the mattress I tried in your showroom before making my purchase. I specifically tested the showroom mattress and based my purchasing decision on the comfort and support it provided. However, the mattress delivered to me feels significantly different, particularly in the level of support I experience when lying in the middle.
I understand that your technician has carried out his inspection since Tuesday 4/08/2026, taken measurements and photographs, and will provide his report. However, I would ask that my complaint is considered based not only on measurements or whether there is a permanent visible indentation, but also on how the mattress performs during normal use and the level of support it provides.
I would therefore appreciate an update on the technician's report and a clear explanation of what Bensons for Beds intends to do to resolve this matter.Given the age of the mattress and the problems I have experienced from the outset, I would appreciate this being treated as a formal complaint and dealt with promptly rather than ignoring my complaint for ages as i once experiences in the mail i sent on July 23, 2026
Desired outcome: replacement is what i wanti do not have space to move the Materess to, i need to stop using it before i develope a spine problem
