Bear411.com / Bearworld.com – Not right

I had been a member for sometime, then stopped when having to pay. I then got constant emails from Bearworld members saying hi etc.. I ignored them for a while, then I thought well maybe it would be nice to say hello and get to know people. I subscrided and then I messaged one of these members to say
"Hi, thanks for the message". He messaged back saying he had never seen my profile, and had not sent any message.
I carried on with the subscription for a while and then cancelled as it was not worth it for me. Today I got an email from 'Bearhuntdevon' on Bearworld saying "Hello Kenbear", and of course I couldn't respond unless I resubscribed. This time I will not.
