Paid for a lifetime watch battery replacement program. Incompetent staff damaged my watch by not putting it back together properly making it no longer water resistant. Wasted my time by making me go back to the store 3 times to resolve issue. They stated they sent watch out to be fixed when they did not. They let watch dry out and put another battery in...

BatteriesPlus Battery Plus in Hudson Wisconsin

On 9/16/22 I purchased an Atv Duracell battery from Battery plus in hudson Wisconsin.

On Friday 9/18/22 my atv did not start. I recharged overnight. On Sunday 9/20/22 again atv did not start. I went to Battery plus in Hudson, Wi, but they weren’t open even though it should have been open starting at 10 am but were not.

Don’t have time to deal with this but weekends. On Friday 11-25-22, I returned to battery plus with the battery and receipt. Beth the rep told us to leave it for her to test it for 24 hrs and she will call us with an outcome. Saturday 26th, no call from Beth. Then I went back and Beth said battery is good but may be on the edge and showing 11

Returned home atv did not start. Went to atv dealership and told us to change a part, which we bought and changed. Atv did not work. Bought a jump starter and connected to my truck, atv started.

I returned to battery plus for the 4th time and finally can prove that it is battery problem and after arguing was able to get a replacement.

I will never more go to battery plus, poor customer services

Desired outcome: Damages done, bought parts I did not needed, wasted hours on replacing part did not needed

BatteriesPlus Service

Williston North Dakota, the store is not open on the hours listed on the door and online. I’ve drive 40 miles two different times to come buy a battery and both times the store was closed. Once was at 4pm on Sunday November 13th and the second time is November 17 at 8:30am. Im sitting in the parking lot now waiting on someone to show up. After working 12 hrs on night shift it’s ridiculous to have to wait on someone that’s not doing there job.

Desired outcome: Better service

BatteriesPlus Car battery

On Sept. 8 2020 I bought a 2 year battery for my 09 GT Mustang. On Oct. 1 2021 I had to get an replacement . On Sept. 4th four days prior to the expiration date of the warranty. I went to a franchised store in Sevierville Tn. He said the battery was Dead with a bad cell but did not have a replacement. At that point he called my store in Daytona Beach Fl. which is a company store, and they said there's nothing they could do over the phone and return the battery when you return from Tn. Upon returning om Sept. 14th they said they would charge the battery and test it. After explaining the situation to them they called me to say also the battery was dead and could not reach the voltage requirements. An hour later they called me and stated they would give me an replacement under the circumstances, An hour later they called back and stated me back and stated since it's past the 2 year warranty they had no way to to enter it into the system therefore sorry but there's nothing we can do. I been a customer for years and have 11 vehicles mostly classics and my Son has 7, and this is the way I'm treated . This is the 3rd time I've had to get a replacement battery telling me something Is drastically wrong with your Duracell batteries .I will do everything possible on social media to tell my story and express how I was treated by personnel at this Co. store in Daytona Beach Speedway Blvd.Richard Scherer

BatteriesPlus Failure to process a refund for a returned battery

After obtaining an RMA and following the return procedures I waited for a refund to post to my credit card. After a half dozen requests I’ve come to realize they are dishonest and will not honor their refund policy. Every follow up resulted in some excuse for why the refund had not yet been processed and a promise that the refund would be processed within a week. This is a dishonest Chinese company selling inferior products, but at least they’re consistent in providing terrible and dishonest customer service. Recommend avoiding this company.

RMA Code: THISS-Z-UP28826.

Original order number: UP28826

Desired outcome: Process my refund.

BatteriesPlus Motorcycle Battery Warranty

My Duracell motorcycle battery is less than a year old and I'm being told the warranty is not covered if the battery has less than 11.6 volts. The reason I brought it back was the battery was dead...so of course it has less than 11.6 volts. Shouldn't there be a certain time period for manufacture defects? Using only a voltage amount to determine warranty is total BS. I will never buy another battery from here ever again.

Desired outcome: full replacement of the battery

BatteriesPlus Unprofessional Employee At 82 Ave Portland Oregon Location

Mr. James Reimer, (Store Manager)

I am writing you this email in reference to your employee "Michael" at the 4812 SE 82 Ave store.

I came into the store roughly 9:25am (8/20/2022) to get a microphone on my phone replaced. I stood at the front desk for 10-15 minutes as I assumed Michael was entering my information for the work to be performed. It turned out he had no idea what the repair was entailing. When he finally figured out what the repair was, I kindly asked the phone be shut down due to sensitive work related information that I store on the phone dealing with access control and alarms for the school district I am employed with. He raises his voice at me and says " you don't trust us, that's what this is all about." Again, I asked him nicely and professionally I request the phone is shut down during the repair and I will gladly stay on the property so I can power up the phone after the repair is complete and the phone can then be tested. As a customer who could have went to the Burnside Ave store location instead, where I go to for work related purchases, I decided to come to the 82Ave location because I had pleasant past experiences with other phone repairs. I requested Michael to have the part transfered to the Burnside location so I can get the service performed there instead. I was told the part will be at the Burnside location on Monday. I took time away this morning from my work schedule, to have Michael talk down to me. I do hope, you have training...either video tutorial or face to face group meetings to remind the importance of being a professional at the workplace, peee to peer, but especially towards the customer. Nonetheless, I didn't want.to take up your time, but I thought you needed o know how your employee conducts himself toward the customer. If your store cameras are actively recording, you can take a look at the event for yourself. Once again, thank you for your time and understanding.

Nicholas.

Desired outcome: Training of professionalism is essential for a business to survive. There are many choices for a customer to do business.

BatteriesPlus Battery duragm-15

I purchased the DURAGM-15 battery on 11/19/2021 and it would not hold a charge after having the battery in my ATV for one and a half months. So I returned it to the Janesville Wisconsin store where I bought it the store number is #575. Well I went out to move my ATV three days ago and it would not start. So I took the battery out and put it on the battery charger for two days and it would not except a full charge. So I got my receipt and took the battery back to the Janesville Wisconsin store because my receipt said full replacement up until 11/19/2023 and the clerk said that I could not get it replaced because of the battery I took back after it went bad within a month and a half. So I'm out $ 125.59 and I live on a fixed income because I'm 100 percent disabled. I told the clerk that I would never give them any of my business again. I also told the clerk that I would be informing everyone that I know to not do business with batteries plus because of the way they take care of their customers.

BatteriesPlus Battery warranty

The absolute worst customer service if you even call it that. I purchased a car battery 3 months ago and it stopped working. I went to the store and they refused to exchange it and instead wanted to charge it. The guy working called me that afternoon telling me that because there was a parasitic draw on the battery they wouldn't be able to warranty the battery. Even though I told him when I dropped off the battery that I drive and have driven the car recently, he proceeds to tell me I'm a liar because of "science." We start arguing about the warranty until I finally just drove up there. When I get there he continues arguing about volts and amps etc...I tell him that the WARRANTY of the battery says nothing about a draw on the battery. He refuses to read the warranty and in fact acknowledged that he doesn't even know what's in the warranty. The product is a 12v magnapower battery if you are curious and want to look at the warranty as well. Magnapower has been great since I reached out to them. I'll be contacting Batteries Plus Bulbs corporate offices to make a complaint. Thankfully I have the entire conversation recorded. Stay away from this place.

Desired outcome: Replace my battery as it's only 3 months old and under warranty. The worker who threatened me should be fired.

Update: The kid (owner's kid) who I had dealt with leaves me a voicemail stating that corporate requires him to reach out to me whenever they get a complaint. He then proceeds to smugly read some warranty information he found somewhere (he doesn't even state who or what this warranty is in reference to). He then proceeds AGAIN to threaten me by telling me that his dad will be there tomorrow and that he'd loooove for me to "come in person" to deal with me. There are other comments of this guy doing the same thing to other people. With all that aside, I took my battery home and charged it and it's been fine ever since, even in the 100+ heat of Texas weather. So there was nothing wrong with my battery in the first place. This place obviously rejects any warranty claim on batteries on purpose by stating customer "neglect." Check Google reviews of other customers stating the same. Again, worst place ever.

BatteriesPlus Unwanted text messages

I've been trying to cancel any notices from batteries plus. There's no unsubscribe on any notices sent to me. When I try to access my account (forgot my password) & nothing ever shows in any of my email. I can't even turn off your notifications in my phone. I've spent a lot of time trying to delete & unsubscribe, so very frustrating! Because of this I won't ever do business with any batteries plus stores. It shouldn't be so difficult to unsubscribe, sounds like a scam!

Desired outcome: Unsubscibe my email from all of batteries plus notifications!

BatteriesPlus iphone xr screen

They fix my cracked phone and was fine then it been acting worse than it was when it was cracked. Glitching, opening random apps, calling and hang up, also freezing on me. I'm not happy with the result and I didn't spend $122 for a phone to not to work. I was not informed that they where doing a charging cleaning to the charger port which was $10.

Desired outcome: Either give me my money back or new phone contact info [protected]

BatteriesPlus Customer service/ knowledge

I went to the store 5/19/2022 around 7:30 yesterday to get a replacement battery because my battery died. I asked the associate If after they charged and tested my battery and it was not working would they replace the battery with one I was purchasing or would it be a different battery I would get. I was asking because I have to work and cant go 24 plus hours without transportation. He kept saying you have to register the battery with Mercedes. Which wasnt my question. This went on for maybe 5 minutes me trying to word the question differently and gettng the same answer. He finally said he didnt know. I asked was there someone here or someone he could call who did know. He just said he was the only one there and it was nobody to call. He helped someone else and disregarded me. I asked could he call another store or manager and he said no. I was trying to ask a different question about the battery but he started shaking and walking off and talking over me. I finally said are you going to keep talking or listen to my question so you can answer it. He gave the same answer without even letting me ask the question. I asked why would they let you work alone and you dont know anything. I took my son out to the car and came back in to purchase the battery because I really didnt have a choice at that point. I needed one. When I went in he said he changed his mind he was not selling me a battery because I offended him. He then walked off to the back and didnt come back out. I walked to the door to check on my children in the car and he locked me out the establishment. I sat outside at the door for a while and he came to the door and said do you want to purchase the battery as if he was God and was trying to teach me a lesson by locking me out I am livid and I believe that was very sexist because had I been a man he wouldnt have acted that way

BatteriesPlus X2 battery

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My experience with the owner of the store was horrible.

I came in with a warranty issue on a very expensive battery I bought 2 years ago. It has a 4 year replacement warranty. I had charged the battery for a week and the amps were about half what it should be.

When I brought the battery in the owner tested it on his "special" meter, it showed 12 volts. He then said "your battery is good" I told him it should read 1100 amps and it is half of that. (his meter showed a couple of dots where the amp reading should be). I then got my meter out of my car and showed him the issue. He stated that "only his special meter could measure the amps on that particular battery" I knew that was not correct and told him so. He got very rude with me.

I then took him over to an identical brand new battery and showed him that my meter read 1050 amps. He would not accept that my meter was right.

He then said "ill warranty the battery just to get you out of my store" He was obviously embarrassed because he (the battery expert) doesnt know much about amp meters. However he claimed he could not find my account in his computer and told me I had to have the original receipt. I had a business account so I did not believe him. But there was nothing else I could do but leave dissatisfied.

The rude and disrespectful way this guy spoke to me is unacceptable. I never cussed, yelled, or raised my voice to him. I disagreed with him because he was wrong. But I was always respectful and maintained my cool.

Not only are the "best" batteries these folks sell a joke, but they do not warranty their product. Worse yet, the battery expert is a joke and only cares about taking your money. There is no customer service here!

Desired outcome: Battery replacement

Got my screen replaced and a couple hours later the LCD was bleeding through, it went away after so I thought nothing of it but then it came back and would not go away this time, took it back since its “under warranty” for 90 days and they tell me its not under warranty and the best they could do was take 20-30 dollars off a whole nother screen replacement...

BatteriesPlus Replacement car key fob

Placed order for replacement key fob March 13. Called store 3/14 and was told by the associate that the key fob would be arriving to store 3/16-3/18. Called store again 3/16 and was told that the key fob was ordered 3/16 and should arrive 3/23 - 3/25 at the store. The key fob has to come from their warehouse and orders are only placed on Wednesdays. So my order sat for 3 days before anyone touched it and instead of getting my key fob this week it will be another week. So if you order through them allow for 2 week delivery. They aren't in any rush to help you. I should have gone elsewhere.

BatteriesPlus Poor customer treatment - order number ec0043007070

I ordered (EC0043007070) a battery, 12V 49 Ultra Platinum ($243.68 with tax), on Saturday, March 12, 2022, with the intention of picking it up at Store 703 on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Sunday hours, 10am to 5pm, are published on the Battery+Bulbs Website and also printed on the receipt.

I had no working form a transportation, so I rented a vehicle on Sunday morning to pick-up the battery. I got to the store approximately 11:30am only to find the store was closed. There was a sheet of paper hanging on the door noting the store has reduced hours due to Covid-19.

I went to the store on Monday, March 14, 2022, at approximately 12:00pm to pick-up the battery. I carried the core, weighing approximately 60 pounds, into the store with me and handed my paperwork to the individual, Samantha Garcia, was working at the counter. I asked her how long the sign on the door was there because I had to rent a car to pick up the battery yesterday. She noted "I think it was there approximately 2 weeks". I asked her if I was going to get a discount because of the expenses I accrued because the store was closed on Sunday, and they did not inform me of this. She responded "NO" and told me she only worked there and there was nothing that can be done. I asked her for her boss (store manager's name) and she didn't know. In addition, she noted that if I was upset, it would be easy enough for me to find out. By then I was angry, and asked her how customers know when the store is closed if they are not posted on the receipt or on their website. She rudely responded "I guess you just have to drive to the store and find out".

At this point she coped an attitude and said she was not going to give me the battery that I already ordered and paid for because I was not nice to her. I don't know how good business is, but apparently it is better for the company and the store to loose a $243.68 sale verses giving a 10% discount for directly inconveniencing them. I picked-up the old battery core and left.

Desired outcome: No action required. I was a relatively good customer in the past, but I will ever visit one of the Batteries+Bulbs store again. Also, the individual I communicated with at the store, Samantha Garcia, was the assistant manager.
