I like many were drawn in by the amazing helpfulness of the baines&earnst advert, 'cut down you monthly out goings for a better life'. 'quickly remove your debts without the worry'. It's all camel dung as i found out the hard way. I had a pregnant wife £11, 000.00 pounds of debt and i just lost my job, sitting at home depressed and full of sorrow about my situation an advert, bains&earnst we willl help you get back on your feet go on give us a call. as most have we did. they explained how they work 'we will take all your debts speak to the relevant people and that's all you do. 'youpay us £140.00 a month and we will do the rest'. did they mention that they would be adding there own fee's every month. NO. did they mention that there is no time scale to how long you pay them back. NO. did they even mention that you would still recieve court threats from your debters even though they were being payed every month (and always late i might add) NO. did they mention the three year review you get so they can try and get more internal fee's from you i think not. anywho i got a good job and after about six years my wife and i thought about trying to go it alone on paying our debts, rang b&e asking how much we owed on our bills . to our total dismay they told us that we still owed £9, 500 still, Its the interest she said you have only just paid it of and you are now paying the debt. after six years paying we worked out that we had about £5, 000 pounds to pay back. shut my account down we will find another way. and we did, we spoke to citizens advice got heaps of good info. we spoke to all our debters as advised and we got all our debts consolidated down to £4, 900 and we are now debt free. the morall of the story b&e are leeches and out to help no-one but them selves. talk to other people and don't waiste your time. save your self the heart ache. and the worries and the depression that comes with them
