Autopro's Towing and Recovery

I live in Essence Place and I parked my car in a available parking spot, they came and towed it saying they have a contract with the apartment complex 2020 grey Nissan Maxima( Rental from Enterprise).

My car was unjustly towed by Autopro Stating they dont need permission from property managers to tow cars at night and made me pay $170 for my car. My car, and several others in the Tampa area were towed by Autopro Towing. The cars were held at 5203 E Broadway Ave where unknowing patrons Are forced to pay $170 or more to recover our vehicles from an unauthorized tow I was told the company is allowed to tow at night without permission from Apartment managers. The manager and assistants were extremely rude on the phone, and they are only out to collect money! They said I wasn't parked in visitors parking when there is no sign for guests parking. I spoke with property managers and they said that no one authorized the tow. They are going around in low income neighborhoods and badgering people into paying money for an unauthorized service! This practice should be illegal! They are not enforced by the sheriffs, nor by property managers so they are just put to get money! That's extortion!

My name is ***, I'm a resident over here at Silver Oaks Apartments. I received a phone call from a resident at 3:39pm on April 3 about my car was towed. I call the towing company at 4:09pm and spoke with a lady name Linda. I asked her why was my car towed. she told me because of no parking permit. which is not true because it's inside the car on the left side of the window. I told her she can look inside the car and see that this is true. she told me they don't go inside cars. She was not understanding nor did she care to know I was stating the truth. She told me I had to pay a hundred and seventy dollars to get my car back. I'm a single parent of three, staying in low income and out of work do to covid19. We are in a crisis right now as a country. This should have never happen to me and all that I'm going through. If someone can please reach out to me regarding this issue. Also, I was told by Linda they towed my car at 1:00am in the morning that was a lie and my son can state what time he went down to get a free lunch.

Towed car that shouldn't have been towed. Manager was rude, unprofessional, and cursing at me! Threatened to call cops on me. My car was illegally towed from a space that allowed visitor parking. This company refused to release my car when told I would not pay $195 for it. They expected $195 in cash at 12am midnight since their card machine was down. I didn't have that type of money on me. I'm a college student that was visiting a friend. The parking space stated "paid parking only" along with "monthly permits" on the wall. Being a visitor, I was unaware that that wasn't a paid parking spot. Also, the apartment complex's meter was broken to even pay to park to begin with. The manager threatened to call the cops on me and have me thrown off their property when I refused to pay the money to get my car out that was illegally towed. He said since I was being rude that I would have to wait an extra day to get my car. I had to call an Uber to get home. I couldn't pay the fee if I wanted to because my wallet was in my car. Another employee shows up telling me to come back in the morning. The rude manager I spoke with calls back and says he will drop the price from $195 to $145. I then told him I'm not paying anything for a car that was towed that shouldn't have been towed. I'm going back in the morning to demand my car back and checking for any possible damages to it! This company is rude and disrespectful. They do nothing but take peoples money. There are many bad reviews on Google regarding this company stating some of the same things that I'm saying.
