Assured Towing, Inc.

I live in a mobile home/ RV park. I am in an RV (motor-home). I rent my lot by the month. I drove off in my motor home for refueling and scheduled maintenance and when I returned my car was gone. Pulled right out of my driveway. I approached the park manager that my car had been stolen or towed but not on my property anymore. He called the tow company and sure enough they had it. Totally unauthorized by the park. They assumed that a car was parked on a vacant lot. In a RV park obviously "homes" come and go. The absents of your RV is not a vacant lot. Had they checked with the office they would have found that is was not "vacant" and that I was paid for the whole month. They towed it back and asked the driver to tell me they were sorry. That was pretty lame I thought. The driver could care less one way or the other. You can't go to the tow garage and say "sorry" and not pay a fine. You can say sorry till the the cows come home and you will still pay your fine on a speeding ticket, parking violation, late rent...etc. So why, when you illegally tow a car off rented property without even asking the park manager do you get of with "sorry". Personally I don't care who the fine goes to but they should be fined. They broke the law and stole my car. As I understood from the park manager they are suppose to consult with them on anything they tow off property. So i filed a police report and am waiting to speak with a detective to take the case. The officer said this is pretty clear that they are at fault. Is there anything else I should do? I have read many complaints on Assured.
