I bought a $6,000 French door from Armortech Windows and Doors, Inc. and it's been a real headache. Ever since it got installed, this PGT impact door has been giving me constant trouble with locking and unlocking. Armortech and PGT have come over multiple times to fix it, but it never gets resolved. It seems like the issue might have stemmed from wrong measurements during the initial purchase. I mean, what if there's a fire and I can't unlock the darn door? It's frustrating, to say the least.

I had sum windows installed by the company on September 15. All but 1 window was damaged. Since then, the window that needs to be replaced has been a problem. The first time they tried to replace it was on October 6. But then I found out they would only replace the outside glass that was damaged. The glass came in, but it was damaged. The second time they came to replace the glass was on March 25, but again the window was damaged. The next time was June 16. I got a call telling me the glass was not the right size. The owner doesn't even take the time, and the other people who should be calling me don't. They wash their hands of the whole thing. The only person that answers my questions is the lady who answers the phone. I paid good money for that window (triple pan), so either reimburse me some money or replace the whole window because they can't get the glass right. Armortech Windows & Doors is the worst company ever that I have ever dealt with. The owner doesn't care after they get your money, and the person in charge doesn't care.

Damage to interior wood flooring occurred after the windows were installed by Armortech in October . In November , I noticed the wood flooring in a bedroom starting to buckle. I decided to replace the flooring in December , as water had somehow seeped beneath it. In January , I discovered a cut on the exterior horizontal window sill, which was near the area where the wood flooring had been damaged. I immediately contacted Armortech to inform them of the issue and mentioned that my insurance adjuster would be inspecting it. However, Armortech hurriedly came over while I was away and sealed the cut before the adjuster could see it. I spoke with Dave, the owner, and requested that his insurance company assess the problem and cover the cost of repairs and damages. Unfortunately, he refused, insisting that his crew should determine the source of the issue. I wasn't comfortable with this option and expressed my concerns, but Dave became argumentative and abruptly ended the call. Eventually, their insurance company sent someone to evaluate the problem, but they denied the claim, stating that they didn't believe their insured was at fault. When I asked for further evidence of negligence, considering the cut in the sill and subsequent water damage, they insisted on a cause and origin investigation. However, since the damages had already been repaired and the sill sealed, it would be impossible to conduct such an investigation.
