Terrible company! May have been a decent company in the past. Order a $100 salifert test kit. They sent one that was extremely old and about to expire and one of the bottles was busted. I called and explained to them. They said I would have to pay for return shipping. So I boxed them back up went down to the post office. It was going to cost another $27 dollars to send them back plus wait another 2 weeks for a refund according to the gentleman I spoke with. So it was not worth paying the extra money to have them shipped and jump through all of the hoops hoping to get my money back so I just tossed the kits in the trash. Save your money and buy from BRS or Amazon. I can only imagine if I spent $500 and needed customer service or a return. You would be totally screwed. Don't say you haven't been warned.

Ordered some stuff from Aquacave and it all got here on time, no problems. Had to do a little bit of tinkering with the sump to get everything set up, but it wasn't too bad. Everything seems to be working like it's supposed to so far.

So, I picked priority thinking it was free. But then, the next day I got an email asking which priority shipping I wanted - 1, 2, or 3-day shipping. And let me tell you, those options were more than 30 bucks each. And the thing is, standard shipping is already 2-3 days. So, I had to go through the payment process again to switch it to standard.

I think it would be a good idea for Aquacave to list the prices of each shipping option at checkout. That way, people can make an informed decision about what they want and how much they want to spend. It would save the company some time and money too.

But, even with that little hiccup, I'm still gonna buy from Aquacave again. The product was great and the customer service was helpful.

Aquacave is a website that sells aquarium supplies and equipment. I read a review that said they had a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but when I checked, I found out that they don't have a BBB stamp of approval due to bad customer service issues. Despite this, I decided to order from them anyway. Unfortunately, I haven't received my order or a refund for it. They were quick to take my money, but they won't ship to an address that's different from the billing address. This is frustrating because I live in a locked building in downtown Salt Lake City, and carriers don't have access to it, so they leave packages outside where they can be stolen. I don't understand why Aquacave can't do the bare minimum of customer service and ship to a different address.

Another issue I had with Aquacave is that they didn't call me to explain why they weren't sending my package. I had to give my phone number twice at checkout, but they didn't use it to contact me. Instead, they told me to call their customer service line to find out why my package wasn't being shipped. This is lazy and unprofessional.

Despite these issues, I must say that Aquacave did email me a confirmation of my refund, so they did that right. However, I still don't recommend them because of their poor customer service and lack of BBB accreditation. It's important to shop from businesses that value their customers and have a good reputation.
