Aptive Pest Control review: Pest control

I'm unbelievably disappointed with this company. at first when the salesman showed up on an electric scooter, he seemed pretty nice. normally my husband doesnt fall for the sales pitches From door to door encounters, but for some reason he liked this guy and what he had to say. so while explaining it to me, the one who was skeptical this time, i layed out any and all possible quesions including pulling up reviews from google. i asked questions about every bad review i seen, as well as asked if they were a BBB accredited business(which they arent). i also came across some lawsuits theyre dealing with which he had very little to say about it. needless to say, we agreed to take a chance with the service because the guy promised he was there to help us , not hinder us. he also said he would personally make sure we were satisfied.he also lt us choose which date to be billed each month so we knew we could swing the payment easily. fast forward to the first initial treatment,which was two days later, the service technician they sent was supposedly the best, but from what i witnessed, he didnt give a rats behind about the job. he barely sprayed anything(where as i was told they were gonna make it rain). i had to ask him to treat the most obvious places because he wasnt doing it on his own. and his response each time was " i'm doing the best i can maam." in a monotone voice. im not exaggerating when i say that he mustve said that line atleast 100 times, leaving me feeling like i was hassling him to do his job. he barely did any spraying in m kids rooms. once he finished inside, he began the outside. this is where it gets worse. he started complaining about the job, saying he rather go back to his previous one with the water company, and then proceeded to ask off topic personal questions pertaining to how long ive lived here, what my plans are, what we do for fun out here. at first it seemed like harmless small talk, then he started to repeat himself talking about wanting to go to missouri and asking me the same question like three times- " u wanna know why i want to go there?" i answered him why, finally, and he said "because theres no black people". i was like oh my goodness, this guy is a creepy racist weirdo...so after watching him apply the outdoor treatment in the most unprofessional and careless way, i asked him a few questions to make sure he got everywhere, because for him to complete my property should have taken about 45 minutes whereas it only took like 15 minutes, i was concerned he missed a few areas. every time i asked about a certain area being sprayed - he would cut me off and say his only response he had... "im doing the best i can maam" so i realized i wasnt getting anywhere with him , i said thank u and went inside. for the next 25 minutes or so, i watched him sit in my driveway, probably doing paperwork, but strangely, at one point, he got out of the vehicle and walked in a circle and got back in. i told my husband about what had happened, and he was like - lets just call and have them come back out when im home so i can tell them everywhere to spray, they sent another tech. no problem. and this time it was someone different. he was much more thorough . and although we originally needed help with an ant infestation, they claimed the treatment would cover all bugs n such. they also stated that the first treatment was something that would make the bugs uncomfortable and we would probably see more activity than before. but the second treatment would be a barrier to eliminate and keep them away, it was some kind of process that didnt seem too promising, but the original salesman swore he would make us happy any way possible...so we sat back patiently, within a few days there were still ants as well as an insane amount of cricket spiders popping up everywhere, for example - my 7 year old wont sleep in his own room cuz there was a cricket spider on his leg in his bed...around the time the cricket spiders started surfacing, the ants died off for the most part. then the entire house was swarmed with cricket spiders, my daughters room, there was one on my husbands head one night in bed and then iwas attacked by one a few nights later in bed, it was on my face, yuck. my entire family was scared to even sleep. i ended up having to go buy home defense and other sprays because i also devloped an infestation of roaches in my kitchen. ive had the few here and there roaches over the course of 5 years since living here( being in the country) but ive never had an issue as bad as i have now. there coming out all the time in the kitchen even after i sprayed home defense. we tried to contact the original guy to see what could be done ( as well as ask why our payment wasnt taken on the designated date we were told). he claimed the system was down and he would get us scheduled soon. we never heard from him so we called again and he supposedly went back to school, so im assuming he doesnt work there anymore. we ended up having to get the corporate number from a friend ( one that we referred to aptive a few days prior to us signing up) cuz they too had issues with the service... so the only thing they said was we were scheduled for the 22nd of sept. uggghhh this is so irritating . i dont want to pay 199.00 to cancel, so im kinda stuck on what to do. i mean i feel like i am being charged 60 a month , they only come out 1 time every 3 months, and by the time they do come back out - the bugs should cease on their own due to waether changes... i pretty much paid these people to come in and infest my house and nw my children are scared in their own home... WTF?
