I called yesterday to have someone come check out the refrigerator ice maker. LG
The technician said it was a linear compressor. My frig is 2 years old. He stated it would $1,500. He said I could try to LG but has poor service and they want to take care of warranty issue. He said I had a warranty. I called LG answered right away- diagnosed it was not the compressor and most likely was the craft ice maker that needs to be replaced. I felt bamboozled- The tech said the company as a whole has a policy not to replace ice makers and only compressors. I paid $154.95 for a sales job. I'll never use this company again. I would hope they would try to make this right.

Unless you would like someone to actually show up for a scheduled appt window, do not use this repair service company...

Dear Appliance Pros,

I made an appt for last Thursday evening between the times of 5-8pm to have my freezer repaired. No one showed. The call center personnel (who were very courteous and apologetic) rescheduled for Friday morning between 8am-12pm.

I stayed home from work on Friday morning to meet them - no one showed. The call center personnel apologized and said the repair man was running late and that he would be here by 2pm. Guess what? No one showed. I called about 20 times between the hours of 2pm and 4pm to reach a busy signal.

The repair man called after 4pm to say that he could finally come to my house. Since I had to leave for a previous engagement and could not be there, he rescheduled for between 5-8pm today.

This morning the repair man called and asked if I would be home between 4-6pm. We agreed that 5-8pm was the agreed upon window.

What time is it now? No one has called. No one is here. I'm not going to bother to try to call - you have wasted enough of my time.
