AmeriGlide Lift

Prior to the sale, they are great; once you purchased the product. Never received any service! Purchased a lift in October 2022, Installer had issues installing the lift. Called the company to get help. Couldn't help us. The lift sounded like it was going to fall apart. By March 2023, the lift was stuck in between floors. Have an 86 year old Mother stuck in between floors when she is home alone. Good thing, she had her cell phone. Besides the point, find the closest service dept 2 1/2 hours away. Then they tried for 3 weeks to get the part. Failed to do so, because Jessica the Warranty person wouldn't call them back. I called without telling them it was under warranty; after receiving the part, I requested a warranty reimbursement that was in April 2023, still haven't received it but they got the defective part in May 2023. Then try to say they didn't receive it but I had the delivery signature page showing where it was delivered. THIS COMPANY IS SHADY AS THEY COME! RUN from them.

Claimed loss: $1723

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund.

AmeriGlide Complaint about Ameriglide Southport, NC

Contract signed Jan 14th. April 14th contractor comes to look at breaker box. April 18th elevator is delivered. April 20th contractor states there is a problem with amps. We were told they can use solar. April 21st contractor states elevator will be up and running Fri. Owner shows up at 4:45 to place sign in yard.

Desired outcome: I would like a discount of some sort and not made to feel like they are doing us a favor by giving us solar. Unlimited batteries.

AmeriGlide Unethical behavior. Services not provided

I have had multiple, extensive hospital stays with bone and muscle deterioration in addition to multiple other medical issues. I have not been able to walk upstairs for the past six months, thus requiring me to shower in the kitchen, sleep on the recliner and conduct my daily activities downstairs. After extensive research and reviews read of all stairlift providers, we decided to spend the money and go with Ameriglide.
In the first week of January my wife contacted Ameriglide and spoke with Sales Representative, Roger Adams. We expressed our initial concerns with the timeframe of installation and that we needed this ASAP, understanding that this would be a special order due to multiple turns along the stairwell. Mr. Adams informed us that the entire process would take approximately 6 - 8 weeks, which was one of the main reasons we chose you also. We agreed, provided a credit card number, and began waiting for someone to contact us to collect measurements. On January 11, 2021, a deposit of $2, 500.00 was charged to my Visa credit card, yet we still had not heard from the installer for measurements. Multiple phone calls were made to Mr. Adams for updates and each time he was either on vacation or not available. When he did return our calls his response was always, "I'll look into it and get back to you by the end of the day." He never did.
On January 21, 2021, after our multiple requests for status, we finally received an email that John Pennington would be contacting us to schedule onsite measurements. After waiting approximately one week, Mr. Pennington arrived, collected measurements and informed us it would be forwarded to Ameriglide in order to manufacture the lift. Throughout the next several weeks we never received updates of the status, again making several attempts to contact Mr. Adams with the typical response that he was not available or on vacation.
On February 10, 2021, my wife emailed Mr. Adams for an update. He responded the following day informing us it is in production and I will give you an ETA. Again, we never heard back.
On March 2, 2021, my credit card was charged the remaining balance of $7, 966.00. After several more weeks and attempts for an update, I spoke with one individual who claimed to be a manager of Ameriglide and advised that he would look into this. This individual informed me that the lift was "Clearing Customs."
Eventually, on April 2, 2021, a crate was delivered and placed in our garage. No updates or directions for installation given. I again called Ameriglide and was told that I needed to contact John Pennington. When I called the number provided, I was informed that Mr. Pennington was just an installer working for a contractor "Delstal" and that he has never installed a curved stairlift. They did not have a PO number and I needed to contact Ameriglide. Again, making several attempts with negative results.
On April 7, 2021, (morning) I called Ameriglide and Mr. Adams actually answered. I explained my frustration and that we have been sitting here with a crate in our garage, waiting for an update of installation. He again said, "I will look into this and call you back by the end of the day." Never heard back.
April 8, I wrote a negative review and received a response from Customer Services (Laura) apologizing and that it would be rectified. Never heard back.
April 15, 2021, at 1150 called and spoke with Mr. Adams. His response was "I completely apologize and will get back to you in 10 minutes. We never heard back."

AmeriGlide horizon stair lift

I bought this stair lift almost 3 weeks ago a certfied technician determined it was defected on delivery.He determined that it had a bad circuit board.Ameriglide Tech Support sent a replacement board.He Installed the new board and the same ic blew that was on the old circuit board.He came to the conclusion that it had to be a manufacture defect wiring or connecting it properly.I need help on returning for refund or replacement. ...1051 Giles Rd, Byron, Ga.31008.Ph # [protected].Herbert Stephens SFC Ret.

AmeriGlide They almost sold us the wheelchair, which didn't fit to our needs

My family placed the order on the website www.ameriglide.com. We searched for good wheelchair and decided to buy from this company, because they seemed to be professionals. Unfortunately, it misthought. We already wired them money, but these people didn’t warn us that this wheelchair wasn’t appropriate for our needs. We found this info on our own, but we told the rep what we searched for. The staff behaved really unprofessionally and they searched only for financial rewards.

AmeriGlide I waited for delivery, but seller fooled me

I ordered mobility scooter for my farther from the website www.ameriglide.com. It was really bad experience, ‘coz I waited a month, but these jerks only told ### and fake promises. I was seriously angry with them, but it was impossible to return money back. Not recommended company. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide nothing. Please post your comments about this company.

AmeriGlide I had a horrible experience with this company

I had a horrible experience with this company. They were VERY charming when I was ordering the product, then completely dropped the ball to follow through on the whereabouts of this product. When I called to ask them they didn't know said they would follow up, but there was no follow up. After over a month of waiting, I called again, they were rude, almost hostile. I personally would NOT do business with them, their follow through and follow up rates a complete zero in my book. I am sorry I have to write this, the truth hurt s but this was my experience and I just didn't need any more on my plate, having to be a 100% care giver is difficult to handle, I did not need this hasstle.

AmeriGlide I will not be ordering from them again

I ordered a walk in tub from Ameriglide, I was never giving any shipping info. I called and emailed several time, either being sent to someone's voice mail or no response. I finally got an answer several weeks after ordering and was told it was on back order. I cancelled my order. The customer service was non-existent. I will not be ordering from them again.
