American Bath Factory review: Retired navy of 20 years

It has been a while since I’ve added another review of this company and I can see that my past reviews are no longer available. I bought a tub from this company and paid for it at Lowes when I did a complete tear out and rebuild of my bathrooms. I wish I would have come to this site earlier. I bought a small acrylic tub with the small holes in the bottom for the added benefits of the relaxing effect of the air bubbles. Worked find for a year or so and then I needed to replace the air pump and was told they no longer were available. That was strike one. So I plugged the hose leading into the tub. No more bubbles. A couple of months later the tub plastic layers delaminated in the base of the tube surrounding the holes in the bottom. I called the company to take advantage of the lifetime warrranty again and was told yes that all customers could get at least one replacement tub directly from them. I thought this was great until they told me what the shipping and handling charges were about double of what I had paid for the tub new. Strike two. I said OK we can get by that and I’ll just stop by and pick it up directly from them. They said that could be done but I’d still have to pay the handling charges. Guess what, still more than I paid for the tub new. Their warranty is a total joke and they wouldn’t make any concessions of any kind to get a replacement tub even without the bubble set-up. So if I could give negative stars for the company and how they stand behind their products that would be what I’d do. I’ll leave one star just because if I don’t leave something it probably won’t get to be seen at all? Looks nice lasts maybe a year and then no joy. I’ve left tried to get anyone at their phone number to make any kind of restitution but that’s a joke if I can even get in touch with someone. No photos this time just because I don’t think these ever get seen by anyone?
