Scam
So , they offer a sign on bonus ( my friend referred me, we were both supposed to get $100 after I met the requirements) so I opened the account, got a $251 direct deposit , spent the required $100, and did not get the bonus…. I did get a mysterious $75, not the $100… After trying to contact them, it’s obvious that it’s a very very poor AI text bot. After the bot telling me repeatedly “I did not meet the requirements” for the referral bonus, but I met the requirements for the direct deposit bonus. Hm ok whatever than. Idk why I would want a $75 bonus when I met the requirements for the $100 one … I invited my mom to the app, just in case maybe I did someone misread a loophole in the TOS … she made the account, got the direct deposit, spent the required amount. No bonus. So we messaged them, hey where’s the bonus? They said that the requirements went from being spending $100 to spending $150 .. so, when you click a link saying to spend $100 to get $100 bonus, the bonus should be activated with the terms stated in the promotion at time of sign up.. which would have been spend $100 in 30 days … even if you sent a text “ we have changed our requirements to receive a bonus” yet, no update to use customers was given. So, now that I got a $45 advance from Albert , it seems crazy that as I am trying to close my account, it won’t let me saying I owe money. What’s even crazier, is I feel that I am still entitled to $80 more from you albert. Albert where is my bonus money? Despite what you say, I met the requirements twice. You are just a bad AI scam and I am grateful that you are linked to a dead account.

Scammers! Don’t even download!
These guys are horrible!I first downloaded this app months ago because I was tight on money and was looking for a cash advance app. When I first downloaded it had asked me if I wanted to opt into their savings plan where they take out cents on the dollar when you make purchases. it’s designed to take out money in such small amounts that it is unnoticed. being tight on money like I was at the time I did not agree to this. I couldn’t get an advance because they did not work with my bank. I deleted the app. Months later I get a text out of the blue saying it was the Albert support team and that I was signed up for this program and that they had been taking money out of my account. I never authorized this! so I emailed them and told them and they told me that I had to download the app and cancel it myself. So I download the app and then it was forcing me to purchase the Albert genius subscription in order to do anything else. I then emailed them back and told them I did not want to do this and they still would not help me. I could not find anywhere on my bank statement to show that they were taking money out of my account so I assumed that they were just telling me that so that I would download the app to pay for the genius subscription. So I let it go. Well now I’m checking my bank statement and there is a charge for the Albert genius subscription that again I never authorized! this is the sketchiest company I have ever dealt with in my life! This has been a huge inconvenience and the fact that their support team will not help me just shows how horrible that are. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY IF YOUR INFO!

Liars
Do NOT do this it is not what it seems to be they added a lot of wordage after your supposedly being free. Now since they asked me to redo this I’ll even describe in more how horrible they are. Let’s start with A they say you can borrow from them at ANY time $300.00 that is a LIE only if you have A+ credit will they allow you to which they new ahead of time my credit was very low so that’s lie one they offered $25.00 a insult basically. This is before your even a customer they say you can borrow the money anytime you like.
B they somehow attached themselves to a bank account that I didn’t even give them access to insane. I gave them my only account I have at the bank with my money in it, BUT they attached themselves to my mothers bank account that the only reason it has my name on it was if she passed away. I did not know her account # yet they somehow started taking control of her account which I never gave them control of my account I was just enjoying a FREE TRIAL to maybe learn a little bit about investing.
This place is bad I suggest you tread lightly as they started taking money out for subscriptions from her account which I didn’t give them for which was free for a month for which I had for only 3 days. So this is a scam to prey on the weak to attach themselves to stronger prey!
They added wording to they’re legal info that wasn’t even available when your signing up it’s there AFTER you set up your supposedly free trail for a month.
Again tread lightly read everything do NOT give bank info if by chance you have multiple accounts with your name how they took money from a account that was never given to them is crazy.
Albert is GARBAGE THIEVES

I could go on a whole tyrade about how this Banking app ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars because of their own errors, but I don’t need to do that. You should not use this banking app for one simple reason. They do not have a customer service phone number. I know I know, nobody likes talking on the phone, I don’t either, but when they suspend your entire account without warning because you reported a fraudulent charge on your card (after you’ve already changed all your passwords and information to prevent further fraud from taking place), you want to be able to quickly communicate on the phone to get the problem fixed. Unfortunately, they have a customer service email which…sometimes replies.
So while I waited on anyone to give me any information about how to get my account back, my direct deposit from work hit and poof, disappeared into Albert without showing me any record of where it went. After a slew of customer service emails I finally got a reply…it was a bot. A bot telling me that my direct deposit was going to be routed to my connected account…which I don’t have. After a few more progressively more frantic emails I finally got a response from a human, letting me know that since the account was suspended, it would be sent back to my employer within 2-3 business days. It’s been 5, and my money is nowhere to be found.
I’m not sure how much of this is incompetence on the part of those who designed the app, and how much is willful fraud, but boy you better believe that I feel stupid for banking with a service that doesn’t even provide customer support.
In conclusion, don’t do it. I don’t leave reviews ever, but I’m here, and if you read this whole thing, so are you. I did this for you. Don’t just finish reading this and hit the download button. There are SO MANY other banking apps out there, you would simply be saving yourself a lot of trouble by choosing another. 0/10, eat my shorts Albert.

This company is horrid. I mean a literal nightmare. Every day I wake up to new funds being taken out of my account. They trick you into getting “Genius” which doesn’t live up to it’s name AT ALL. They take money for your “Rainy Day Fund” then it take days for that to complete. Oh and please don’t want your money back from that, you will have to wait more days to receive that money. Not only that, I will billed $108 for a yearly plan that I originally thought would bill me $9 MONTHLY, nooo that’s how they get you. It says monthly next to the $9 but it’s actually yearly and they will take that lump sum at one time. I requested a refund on Monday, they say it will take 4-6 business days to receive it, I have Chime and they are usually quick with my money. Something tells me they haven’t really initiated my refund. Oh but here is the thing, so I requested my money for a refund and tried to cancel, THE LITERAL ONLY OPTION WAS TO SWITCH TO MONTHLY, that was the only way I could get my $108 refund. They TOOK the $9 for the monthly payment WHILE I STILL WAIT FOR MY $108 REFUND…the logic? I keep constantly texting cancel but every time I try to cancel they take more money and now you have to wait even longer to cancel the account because you constantly have money pending in the Rainy Day Fund. I have started to look into taking them to court, from the reviews, this needs to me a Civil Lawsuit with many names on it. You will not continue to spit on me and tell me it’s rain. No person to talk to, only can text a number and if you email them, they will tell you text the number . You text the number and they send automated responses, never actually speak with someone. They say it’s a team of “real people” I highly doubt that. If you just got this app for some extra funds while you wait for payday, TRY DAVE BANKING APP. No subscription, no long term commitment, no money constantly being taken out of your account without your consent AND DAVE actually let’s you speak to someone, A REAL PERSON.

Had my money stolen twice from them now they won’t give it back even tho I was incarcerated the total amount is $2200. They told me I would be credit because I’m getting late fee for not having my money it’s clear they didn’t investigate because they should be able to check the ip address and see an error occured
On Tuesday November 21st Albert Corporation withdrew $179 out of my account without my consent. I am demanding a refund in full. This company is a scam. Upon reading through the Internet this has happened to countless others and a class action lawsuit needs to be done. I am hoping an attorney or firm agrees to pick up this case.
I have a charge on my bank acct dated 10/02/23 and I've never used your app.
I went to Kroger bought something for 1.25 and they took 15.75 off my Albert card along with the 1.25 so the to altogether they took off my card was $17.00 and I really need my money back ASAP
I can't withdraw the money I see in my account that I transferred from my Wells Fargo account last week
Horrible customer service, canned answers, no access to MY money. Talking in circles. Not reading your emails thoroughly or responding appropriately.
Took $200 cash from my checking account on July 3rd which they say I initiated. I have begged them to transfer the money back but all I get are these crazy robot texts😂. For the love of God do not make the same mistake I did. Run as fast as you can from this company. Go to DAVE or BRIGIT - they are great to work with.
