We signed up for VOIP services from MegaPath on 11/10, and it automatically renews every March 29. Unfortunately, due to the impact of Covid, we had to downsize and cut costs. On March 25, we sent Megapath/Fusion a written notice stating that we did not want to auto renew. However, they rejected our notice because it was not within their 45-30 day notice "window" before the auto renew date. Since we missed the 15-day notice window, they charged us a penalty of $4,472.25. We have talked to several customer service representatives and supervisors, and they all told us that the penalty cannot be waived.
