Affinity Plus FCU denied my app and kept my cash on hold.

Service is always bad. I went to my branch to say I needed to transfer money from another account, which would take a few days, but I had a mortgage check that might hit before the money came in. I asked them to cash the check if it did hit, and the person I met with PROMISED me that they wouldn't bounce the check. She didn't say it might bounce, she said they wouldn't bounce the check. Even though the money came in 2 days later, they bounced my mortgage check on the same day. They won't take responsibility for lying to me and won't fix the problem. Avoid them if you can - I've been a customer for over 30 years but I've had enough.

I worked with Nancy Appenzeller and Natasha Waltman at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. As a military vet going through a tough time (divorce), the system isn't helping me out. Nancy talked to me like I was dumb, but I stood up for myself and she got mad and sent me to Natasha. Natasha was better, but when I asked for a new loan with a freeze until my divorce is done and I can access my assets, she didn't know what to do and couldn't give me a number for someone higher up. I said I'd switch banks and they didn't care. This is supposed to be a non-profit credit union, but they act like they're not. They were good except for this, so if you don't have problems, it's a good bank. But if you do, stay away!

I didn't know that there was a limit of 25 transactions in a day until I hit it yesterday. I tried to buy stuff but my card got declined many times. I called but couldn't talk to anyone at first. When I finally did, they said they'd fix it but they didn't. I tried to buy food and household things but it got declined again. When I called back, no one was there to help me. I had to wait until today to find out that they blocked my card because I made too many purchases. They didn't care about my problems and didn't care if I closed my account. They didn't listen to my complaints and concerns. The person on the phone said sorry but didn't say anything else. They don't care about customer service.

They totally screwed me over at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. Life got complicated and I fell behind on my bills. I told them I was thinking about debt consolidation or selling my 4 wheeler to pay it off. They told me to write down my bill and a letter explaining why I fell behind, so I did. Then they called me and said I could give them my wheeler and they would sell it and catch up on my bills. I said okay as long as it caught me up. They told me I could get another wheeler. I put brand new tires on it and could've easily sold it myself and paid it off plus extra. I had it all ready for them. They took it and told me they sold it and I still owe over $1000 on it plus my other bills. Then I received a letter telling me when the auction was going to take place which it didn't even happen yet so they must've sold to someone to auction it off or just told me I still owe for it before they even auctioned it off. They sold it for dirt cheap to be auctioned off then sent all my bills to collections. I confronted the woman who talked me out of debt consolidation and selling it myself and she denied everything and actually lied to me again and told me she had told me I could sell it which is a complete lie. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I buy stuff from a game company in *** called CipSoft. Sometimes I try to buy stuff after work hours, but my orders get declined a lot. I tried talking to Affinity to fix it, but it never works and I still can't buy stuff on the website www.tibia.com. It's annoying because I have to find other ways to buy stuff and it costs me more money. It's not fair because I'm trying to make a legit purchase.

I helped my daughter get a loan for her car at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. When I went to check if she made her payment, the cashier said I couldn't see that info and that my daughter had to tell me. I told them I was the co-signer, but they said I still wasn't the primary. I had to wait until my daughter's day off to go in with her. By then, the bank had already marked it late and put negative reporting on my report. I couldn't even make a payment to save my credit score. They then refinanced the loan in my name with a higher interest rate and payment. Not cool.
