Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Customer service issues agent# 495901

I spoke to Customer Service Agent# 495901 on 11.28.22. I explained to him that I was approved by the Department of Economic Opportunity under the Homeowner Assistance Fund program to have my mortgage paid for 6 months. The agent advised me that if the DEO doesn't pay on time, I am responsible for late charges and that I will be reported to the Credit Bureau. I became frustrated with him, as I did not like the tone he was speaking to me, and asked him why is there help out there if you guys keep charging me more money. He stated it takes a long time, up to 70 days, to process the money from the DEO. I asked him the best way of handling it. He said, continue making the payments. I did not agree with that as there is a reason why I was approved for the help and asked if I get the money back once the DEO is paying. The agent denied that and I said I do not think this is correct as how is this going to help me? All I asked the agent was to not charge me late charges and not to report me to the Credit Bureau. He said they will if the payments are not made on time. I asked him why does Grow Financial state there is help for people that have a hardship but then do not help. He said at first that it is my responsibility to pay and Grow does not offer help. I was confused and later the agend confirmed that Grow has programs. He started asking me questions about my financial situation and after the way he spoke to me, I was uncomfortable giving him any information. As a customer and someone who always pays every payment on time, I do not believe that agent #495901 is equipped to deal with the public.

After this call, I called Grow Financial back, and I spoke to a very nice lady that actually guided me on how to proceed. She told me that she never heard that it takes 70 days to put the funds from the DEO into my mortage. I also asked her that the DEO told me that they will send the funds out on the 1st of December and asked if I should get charged a late fee. The agent stated that I should know if the funds were sent timely. It is not on me if Grow Financial takes longer to disburse the money. Grow goes by the time the money was sent. She also stated that my grace period is until December 15th and to call Grow prior to the 15th to inquire about the funds from the DEO. That call put my mind at ease, and this lady is an example on how to handle customers.

Desired outcome: I would like for you to provide more training to Agent# 495901 and speak to him. I would like to be informed what measures Grow Financial took. My phone number is 813.447.2569.

Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Home equity loan

We started the process for a home equity loan on Feb. 15, 2022 of this year. Everything has been completed. This is now two months later, Apr. 15th, 2022 and we are still waiting to get this loan closed. This is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that the time it takes is 45 days. We are now at 60 days and still no word about closing. This was started at Grow Financial office on Rt. 580 in Clearwater.

Desired outcome: I want this loan closed.

Hi we went to this branch this morning to change guardianship actor my niece from my brother to me coz he is in jail now and not fit to be her guardian. I presented papers from court that says I'm the sole and legal guardian of my niece but your legal wont accept that paper and I eve gave them papers from philadelphia that my brother and I have shared guardianship of my niece. How could my brother opened an account for my niece using the same document and your bank wont let me remove his name to put mine when we are using the same document ts from philadelphia and paper from Florida court? Also your legal Lacey was very unprofessional for hanging up on me twice while I'm still talking. You can reach me at my email [protected]@yahoo. Or my mobile number [protected].

Grow Financial Federal Credit Union application for a auto loan

I have been a Member for over 33 years, have a Checking and Saving Account both have never been overdrawn and have over $16, 000.00 in saving. Had a Quick Service Loan for over 20 years and never missed a payment, Have a Debit and Visa Credit Card and Pay off the Balance the end of each month of there Visa Credit Card. I Applied for an Auto Loan today and was told I was being looked at as a new Loan applicant so the interest rate would be 4.24% for 60 months but they would need numerous other documentation.
My complain is I also applied to other Local Credit Union that I am Not a member of and they said my credit score used was 775 the Interest Rate would be 3.24 plus a 0.25 Discount for 60 month Loan and it is Approved!
Where is Grow Financial Credit Union`s Appreciation for a 33 year Member who has never had any late Payments on any account and Why would they make me Jump through more hoops to get their Loan approved while the Other Credit union was fast and better rates and have already approved my Loan with no further info needed!
Believe I am going to Close all my accounts at Grow and Move My thousands in savings account and thousands in checking each month, pay off my QSL and close my Visa card and Join the other Local credit union and transfer everything there!
33 Loyal years means Nothing to Grow Financial Credit Union! Will give my services to Anther!

Grow Financial Federal Credit Union unauthorized withdrawl

On July 18, a company called Mortgage Services Center made an unauthorized withdrawl from my account in the amount of $599.72. I found this out on July 22 after reviewing my account. I contacted the credit union and was informed that Mortgage Services Center initiated the transaction. However, I do not have an account with Mortgage Services so how were they able to take money from my account is the question" I went to the local branch and spoke with the branch of the credit union office on Bloomingdale Mr. Gary Robinson who said that is a common practice in the industry. Banks and other financial institutions make mistakes in accounts and take money from accounts they shouldn't. So I should just take it and get used to it. He then told me it could happen again without notice. I then told him it is scary to know that a company that I am not affiliated with can have access to my money. I guess I should not be surprised to find my account cleaned out one day and it was only an "administrative" error by an unknown financial institution. Needless to say, he was useless and totally on-board with customers getting defrauded out of their money. I later got an email from the credit union that indicated that the company input the wrong account number which is why money was deducted from my account in error. I have to fill out a form to get my money back. I don't understand how an unauthorized transaction can occur to take money out of my account without paperwork but it takes paperwork to put it back. Also, the credit union charges $10.00 to process the paperwork. This is unheard of and if Bernie Maddoff had thought up this scheme he would still be in business. This credit union and mortgage company should be held responsible and pay punitive damages for their actions equally. One for submitting the wrong information and the other for allowing it. I can't wait to close this account and put this Mickey Mouse organization behind me.

Inconsistency with auto loan payment info. Constantly erroneously reporting I owe two payments. Arguing with script reading customer service reps. Tried to login to the online system to verify their payment history records against my own and my bank statement. The system won't let me log in. I get an error message stating I never created a username, yet I have a password. The forgot username feature redirects me, with instructions, to the login page to create a username...but I have to enter a username to login and create one. LMAO! I have hated this bank since day one. I hope I never have to get a loan from them again.

Well I had a second mortgage paid It off last March and now I get notified that because I didn't update my Homeowners insurance with them they charged me for mortgage insurance. They claim they notified me twice last year. Never got a notice. By the way when I paid my second mortgage off they took the 1000 in fees for their insurance policy that I did not need because I had an insurance policy. This organization is criminal. I am closing all my accounts with this pitiful place they call a federal credit union.

Grow FCU has been nothing but a great credit union. Upon reading the comments above I have to say there is a lot of ignorance. When you open an account there is always a fee schedule and customers are always notified. Problem is that people don't take the time to read them. For the comment with "unauthorized withdrawals" I don't see how it is Grow FCU's fault that his account number was used to withdrawal from his account, There is no way a bank can monitor the ACH withdrawals that come out of everyone's account. If you had gotten offended that the customer service rep explained that there is so much fraud, that fact is that there is a lot of fraud. I have a difficult time thinking that he was on board with money coming out of your account. I work for a bank and I see this all the time. Paperwork has to be filled out because of regulations, Sounds like you've never worked for a bank and are ignorant of the laws. Have fun finding another Mickey Mouse bank!

I have been a member for 18 years.
I have an account, I have a joint account with my wife, I have a bug club account for my child.
Using Grows electronic Check deposit app, I deposited my tax return. Grows app made available to me most of the funds and put a hold on about a quarter of the money.
Based on this, I transferred money, made payments and performed other necessary functions.
No one calls me or emails me, I look at my account today and see that I am more than $1000 in the negative.
Grow decided to put a hold on the full amount after having released the funds to me.
I spoke to 2 representatives and a supervisor then waited on hold for at least 10 minutes to find out no one else will talk to me. During this time I was on hold no less than 5 times for a total of at least 30 minutes.
Both of the representatives and the supervisor were of no help, they spent the entire conversation rebutting me and trying to convince me of why this is all my fault.
Grow now has a hold on my money and will not release it me. As a matter of fact, I have no money available to my family and myself for the next 8 days as a direct result of the way Grow wrote their electronic deposit app and the way Grow does business.
None of the representatives cared that I have tenure with this institution, that I have always been in good standing with Grow or that my family and I have to do without any money for 8 days.

The worst bank in FL! Do not do any business with this GROW FRUSTRATION Garbage!
How unusual is to shop at the same grocery store for their idiotic Visa Fraud Prevention BS to constantly block the card and always on the weekends?! This garbage bank is closed until Monday with no customer support by phone. Especially messed up - before Christmas.
I truly hate this bank! I hate your rude reps too.

Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Steals Your Money With Hidden Fees!

(Robert Fisher is Grow’s CEO and allows Grow Financial Federal Credit Union to charge Hidden Fees!)

Imagine you go into your bank or credit union (mine is Grow Financial Federal Credit Union- where I have been banking since 1986) to withdraw cash from your money market funds, and you get hit with a “Very Hidden” fee of $885.00! Nobody bothers to tell me about this fee, no paperwork is signed, its not on my bank receipt and my identification isn’t even checked for the withdraw! Grow Financial Federal Credit Union did this without my knowledge or consent by secretly going into my “checking” account to withdraw (steal) what they have labeled as a “cash withdraw fee”. I would have never even known it was missing until checks started bouncing, or until checking my account(s) online. Luckily I did go online and was able to spot it before my checks began bouncing.

I thought there would be some public interest in this story, with just how safe our money really is in a bank or credit union. What do you do (or can you do) when the financial institution you are trusting with your money- decides to rob you?

See my website/blog about Grow Financial. Do a Google search for- Say No To Grow, and add your experience there too!

Grow financial is the worst bank I have ever done business with. My car loan numbers change all the time, up 2k down 1k. How does a loan go up after a payment is made. Then they claim I own them money after making 2 payments in a row and keep calling my phone . I also had to wait in line for 45 minutes just to make a payment. Yes in 2012 I waited 45 min. They suck

Grow is probably one of the worst credit unions I have dealt with. I have several accounts (7) and I hate it. I just hate having to call customer service. I hate when I have a problem and they need to go beyond their every day duties to assist. It is like pulling teeth. They just sit there with this dumb look on their face. They make small problems...big problems. I have seen people in the branches screaming because they can't get basic assistance. Save yourself the trouble and find another credit union to work with the hassle!
