A-US Air Conditioning of Texas Because of homeowners warranty I have had to use this company 5 times

Because of homeowners warranty I have had to use this company 5 times. Do not return calls, or emails. Every time I have had to use this company they put you on hold forever. My A/C went out on a Thursday, Got a conformation from my home warranty company that they were who would help. Friday I called and left a message for someone to call me about getting a tech to come, called again on monday finally got a guy to come out on Wednesday. Tech told me the problem, next day I called US-Air to get them to go ahead and fix it. I also called 5 times the next day and left messages. I also called Monday and left a message, I called on my lunch break Tuesday and explained I am a cashier and cant answer my phone to text me, they called me instead..I could not answer. Today Wednesday I have left another message. This company is horrible at customer service. Their answering service recording says they are fast and easy but this is a lie. I figure it is because it is a home warrenty issue and not a person paying big bucks. I work in customer service industry and this is absolutely horrible.

On February 9, 2022, A-US Air Conditioning attempted to install a new coil in our Carrier AC unit in the attic. In removing the old coil, the technicians punctured two water pipes, thereby causing water to flow from the attic to the master bath on the first level of our house. The water caused considerable damage to the ceiling of the master bath. The company is refusing to pay for the repair of the ceiling's sheetrock and paint. The company did complete the installation of the new coil at a cost to us of $1,550.00, fully paid on 2/09/22. We endured two days of their prolonged installation and a independent plumber's repair of the two water pipes. While we now have a working AC and repaired water pipes, we have been left with water damage for which the company will not take responsibility. I am gathering bids from painting contractors for the repairs.

I have called a couple times and left voicemails to Keith (install coordinator at A-US) about the work they did on 9/15. I just started using the air again as it's gotten hotter and need air to be able to stay in my home. I have not received a call back. As the heat is coming on and it's 78 degrees in my upper level) I had no choice but to call another repair company. Turns out, the work that was done on 9/15 by A-US Air was not correct. After installing the coil, A-US Air did not put in the right piston and did not use a txv which caused my system to go down. I had to have $3,900 worth of work done as a result of their incomplete work. I am not happy and this type of work should not be allowed to happen.

March 30th A-US Air Conditioning accepted a request for an air conditioning tune-up/annual check from American Home Warranty with a guarantee they would contact the home owner within 48 hours. The home owner was not contacted within 48 hours. Weeks later the initial appointment was set for April 19th. April 19th A-US Air Conditioning no call, no showed on the appointment and set an appointment for April 28th without contacting the home owner to verify that date was a viable option April 28th a rescheduled appointment was confirmed for May 7th after a phone call with a technician. May 5th a text message with a reschedule for May 14th was sent to the home owner without prior notification. Upon calling the company they refused to provide explanation regarding the reschedule and insisted the home owner simply accommodate another delay. I am requesting they no longer claim to service the Austin area and remove the offer of services from American Home Shield

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas This company will scam you into spending more money under the pretense of "code violations" We have American Home shield for a home warranty

This company will scam you into spending more money under the pretense of "code violations" We have American Home shield for a home warranty. One of our AC units went out and this company replaced the fan with our $175.00 service payment. A few days later the same AC unit went out and this company came had to come back out, without the $175.00 service payment. They sent us a different tech which states our compressor was out. He then proceeded to tell us that we have 2 code violations ( locking Freon caps and need a wire to be covered). The home warranty company stated this company would not change the compressor unless we agreed to pay the extra $595.00 to fix the code violations. We had a couple of other AC companies come out along with the city's building code enforcement, which all stated that our unit was not in code violation due to the age. If we replace the condenser we would have to bring these items to code but since we are having items fixed it was not in violation. My husband called to let them know they are telling people the wrong information. They gave him the run around and when he did talk to someone they stated that the compressor is "part of" the condenser and the fan, that they just fixed a week prior, was a "part" on the condenser. We are now having to pay over $2,200.00 to have the condenser replaced because A US Air will not remove the non "code violations" from the report.

I had a technician come to my home on August 12th to diagnose and potentially repair my ACHVAC system. I was told I would have a diagnosis within 24 hours. I have contacted the business numerous times over the past 2 months and have not been able to get anyone to give me a detailed diagnostic on what exactly was broken on my system and what it would take to repair it. I paid for this service and have received nothing. Every time I call I am connected to someone that tells me "We will send you this report by the end of the business day." This has happened almost a dozen times and I have never received this as of today. I have left a woman named Bianca numerous messages as I have been told she is the "Senior Specialists" and can help me but she never answers her phone or messages. They continue to transfer me and then when I call back they say there is nothing more they can do. Chiara has picked up the phone many times and says "I'll transfer you and she will answer" and no answer.

I had A-US Air Conditioning come out and look at both of my AC units prior to winter to check the heating elements. This happend on 10/19 at approximately 12:00PM. Their tech told my wife that the air filters were dirty and needed to be replaced. My wife informed him that the air filters were not at the store that we had to special order due to it being a unique size. The air filters arrived on 10/23. I went to replace them and I found out that the tech did not put back the filters and I was running my AC units for 4 days without filters. I called to remedy this problem and spoke with Angel. He told me it was not their fault that their tech removed the air filters and that they followed all steps. He also guaranteed that my AC had no damage without even inspecting it after the 4 days. They refuse to take any responsibility and even said the tech was a senior tech and knew exactly what to do.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas *** dispatched A-US Air Conditioning of Texas to service the HVAC system in my home in Wimberley following my service request

dispatched A-US Air Conditioning of Texas to service the HVAC system in my home in Wimberley following my service request to AHS on July 23. I paid A-US Air of Texas $2,945 for the installation of a new air handler and 16 pounds of R22 freon. The system failed and a different licenced HVAC contractor was called to diagnose the problem on November 9. The second contractor found that the welds on the air handler were improper and caused the R22 freon yo escape from the system. A-US Air also failed to connect the wiring for the heating system, so the system did not provide heat. The second contractor also stated that the system installed could not accomodate 16 pounds of R22 freon, and clearly the invoice misstated the amount of freon that had been added to the system and billed in July. A-US Air of Texas failed to inform me that R22 freon is being phased out and did not offer me the option of converting to R410a. Due to the loss of freon and other mistakes made in July, the entire system now needs to be replaced at a cost of over $9,000. Neither *** nor A-US Air Conditioning of Texas has responded to my calls or emails requesting a resolution to this problem. I am seeking firstly a response and acknowledgment from both *** and A-US Air Conditioning of Texas. Secondly, I am seeking reimbursement of the July charges for substandard and dishonest work.

I created a report with my warranty company on May 16th. They called the next day and they came out the 18th. They did not have the parts needed to fix the issue. I did not hear from the company. I had to call on Friday, they told me he had to order the part, I should have been told that from the get go, but I had to call on Friday because I didn't hear from them. Tuesday they came out to fix it, apparently they did not give the worker another part needed. But because he waits until last minute to come to my house the warehouse is closed. It's now Wednesday, Tuesday the worker told me it would be fixed TODAY. I came home and NOTING. The worker told me he was "sick". This is ridiculous. It should NOT take this long. If someone is sick, find someone to cover or don't wait until the end of the day to fix my house when I've been waiting now over a week. I would NEVER use this company if I had a choice. I've read responses from the company, do your JOB and take RESPONSIBILITY, LOUSY SERVICE

American Home Shield (AHS) choose A-US Air Conditioning to come out and inspect a wall AC unit. The guy came out promptly said that the wall unit was faulty and it needed to be replaced. When I call AHS, they said that the report from A-US AC stated that the unit was faulty and AHS should deny the claim. AHS is trying to get a hold of A-US AC to get better clarification yet no one answers the phone. I have called every day for the last week and no one answers the phone. Is this company still in business? The phone number just allows to leave a message for a call back.

On 4/21 A-US Air installed a new inside ac unit. I paid them $1425. On 5/19 tge unit froze causing water to run all over my floors and AC closet. There is severe water damage. The technician told me they will replace coils and wait a few weeks before addressing the floor damage in case it happens again. The technician even took pictures of the damage. Now, the company says they aren't responsible for the thousands dollars off damages caused to my home. They sell themselves as fully licensed and insured. This needs to be resolved.

A-US Air's technician was working on the A/C in the attic and cut a drainage pipe which then gushed water out onto the attic floor, which soaked the ceiling below and caused some ceiling fixture damage. This is a very general description of the problem, please see the uploaded .pdf file for full details as well as photos. I sent the same .pdf file to A-US Air, and have left multiple voice messages, they refuse to call me back. I went to my home warranty company with this complaint; they reported that they did talk to A-US Air and that A-US Air told them A-US Air was responsible for the damages and would call me to arrange repairs, but three weeks have now gone by and they still will not contact me.

This company literally sent out a rep who did a diagnosis saying that my furnace needed replacement after I expressed that I smelled a burning smell. American Home shield contracted this company in which I understand they might be under-paid but to try to get over on a customer saying the $1400 of non-covered work is required to get the job done. American Home shield authorized to replace the furnace but left the in-needed extras on the customer. I ended up paying for a second opinion after the rep expressed that I could continue to use the heat and fan even though the smell was unbearable. Luckily I did ask for a second opinion as when a different company came out, their diagnosis found the source of the smell which was the disconnect box next to the furnace as it was literally a fire hazard waiting to happen. The rep expressed if I would have cut the fan or the heat on I would have placed my home and my family at risk. The disconnect box was smoking and red hot during him diagnosis a

On 3/31 technician was sent out to fix AC issue. They could not resolve issue. On 4/3 they sent another technician that was unable to resolve the issue but said they'd be back on 4/5 with parts to resolve issue. They were working on behalf of a home warranty and after reaching out to them and not getting a satisfactory update they marked our issue "closed" on 4/7 even though they knew the issue wasn't resolved. I called them on 4/7 and reopened the issue with the home warranty. They marked the new issue status as "unable to contact the customer" even though they did not attempt to contact me. They've misrepresented their work and failed to resolve the issue.

AHS (American Home Shield) contracted 'A US Air Conditioning' to replace the air ducts in my home attic. The job was never finished. Please see the attached below for detailed information. I have talked with A US Air ( AHS) and was told I'd get a call back. I never heard back from either company thus I mailed the certified letter (see attachment) seeking to resolve the issue. You can see in the photos the silver (newly installed) duct and the old grey duct. For whatever reasons they never replaced the grey duct in this section. I had to call the A US Air (and AHS) after the initial visit several times for the same reason in other areas of the attic to come back out to the house. I got excuses of 'we couldn't reach it' ,' we didn't bring a ladder' (to get up in the attic) , They finished some but not the remaining (in the photos). Therefore I am seeking to retrieve the $475.00 I had to spend to get the job finished. The invoice is attached.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas A replacement of AC handler leaked and caused damage to my ceiling

A replacement of AC handler leaked and caused damage to my ceiling. I had a new AC handler unit installed on 05/29 by A-US AC through American Home Shield. It started leaking on 06/05, so I had to call AHS and had A-US AC came and fix it. After this resolved, they sent an inspector to check, and everything was fine at the moment. About 3 months later, it started leaking again on 08/27 which I at first thought because of hot weather so the amount of water increased. However, I check again on the attic on 08/29 and saw a lot of water underneath the drain pan. Water are tripping down from between the pan and the drain pipe that caused my ceiling to damage. I called both ASH and A-US AC; they both don't take responsibility unless I place a new request for service for them to come and check. This is unacceptable since it was three months of a new unit which should be protected under warranty and at least free labor for one year. They did tell me about warranty, free labor, and Freon input (it's has to be within 2 months for the Freon) when I asked. Now when everything happens; I called many time and they don't want to fix unless I pay again through AHS for a new case. I had to pay AHS service fee $100 for A-US AC tech to come and check since this is emergency, and I don't want my ceiling to collapse and injure me and my family members. I have seniors and a 10 month-old baby. This issue is ridiculous and needs to be taken care of the right way.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas The company was dispatched by American Home Shield: I had received a call Monday (4/18) morning stating that a technician would call me Tuesday

The company was dispatched by American Home Shield: I had received a call Monday (4/18) morning stating that a technician would call me Tuesday to schedule for me appoint that would be scheduled for Wednesday (4/20). Technician never called the day prior nor make any type of attempt to know the problems to my heat pump. I received a text at 1903pm saying Hi my name is Daniel from A-US and will be at your residence between 11-2. The lady from American home shield did not care about the extensive lack of professionalism or problems and could barely speak English. Daniel called and told me he was on his way nothing more from him. Daniel somehow gained entry to our gated community and was at my front door. Upon arrival I explained all the problems with my unit starting from heat pump not wanting to switch to heat, the ac not cooling rights and the unit tripping the breaker. He acknowledged me and said he would take care of it. All he brought out of his vehicle was a single screwdriver with a socket attachment. Not to long after he was knocking on the door and stated that the pressure was ok, so your ac is operating "ok." He further stated that he is done here after IR temp testing the vent by the door. Daniel then stated that I would need to put in another work order from American Home Shield ($100) for the heat side of the heat pump. Daniel never checked the attic air handler and lost a screw for the access plate on the heat pump. He could have stated from the beginning that he was not going to fix the multiple problems I could have rescheduled or attempted for another contractor to come out and handle the job. AHS also failed to help with the problem. I have tried to contact Robert J from A-US air and he would not return my call.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas Rude, inconsiderate, and not professional

Rude, inconsiderate, and not professional. Showed up too early for appointment and refused to come back. There is a gigantic amount of complaints and negative feedback about this company online from many sources. We went through a home warranty company to fix a broken A/C unit. A-US was hired to fulfill the contract. The appointment time was 1pm. They showed up sometime in the morning. No one was home, and special provisions were made to be there for the appointment time and beyond. There was no call ahead prior, there was no email or contact of any kind from A-US. When I called, I was on hold for almost 15 minutes when someone answered. She told me that the next available appointment was Monday (this is Friday... with no A/C). I did say that this was unacceptable, and that the proper appointment time needed to be met. She just kept repeating the same Monday line over and over. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, they were not there. I asked that one call me back asap. She said she would have one call me. I waited an hour and a half before I called back. I waited on hold for 8 minutes this time. Same person... asked to speak to a manager, was on hold another 5 minutes. She comes back and says that she will transfer me and I can leave a message. I rebutted that I needed to speak to someone as they have already proven to be unreliable in calling back. It was at this point she told me that "she wasn't going to do that". Now I am pretty fired up, no insults were made by either side but she was rude and after I felt very offended I asked her not to speak to me that way, and she said the same thing back to me! Then I was transferred to a voicemail for someone named *** (who sounds exactly like the woman I was talking to). I just hung up.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas A US air caused damage to my property and is refusing to pay to fix the damage A US air came out after being dispatched by AHS

A US air caused damage to my property and is refusing to pay to fix the damage A US air came out after being dispatched by AHS. I had a blockage in my condensation line. The technician could not fix it and asked for a plumbing company. Plumbing company said an AC company must fix it. The same A US air technician came out and used too much air pressure trying to clear the blockage and busted my condensation line and a pipe below the sink in the bathroom where the pipe drains. He admitted to busting the pipe and said to call a plumber to fix it. When the plumber came they saw the damage to the condensation line and quoted me 4700 to fix the issue. I called AHS and told them about the damage. Then A US air had a supervisor call me. He told me he would send out a senior technician to access the damage. He actually sent out the same technician that caused the damage. When I talked to the technician he said the supervisor did not even inform him of the damage that was done. The technician also told me that I needed to cut a hole in my wall in the bathroom so they could see if he caused damage to the pipe in my wall. I said I was not cutting a hole in my wall because I don't know where the pipe is - I would have had to remove ALL the sheetrock in my bathroom including taking down a giant builder grade mirror above my vanity.. I called AHS and asked for another company. A US air then sent out another person who advised I needed to cut a hole in my wall. This was now 2-3 weeks after the initial damage and I did not have a working air conditioner in my home. I live in Texas and have 3 small children. I paid out of pocket to have it fixed - $579. Now A US air is refusing to reimburse my cost because they are saying I would not give them access to my home. I would not give them access to my home because they wanted me to cut a hole in my wall that their negligence caused. Since their negligence caused the issue they should have cut the hole, fixed the issue and paid to patch the hole but they refused. Since they lost my trust - damaged my home, lied about sending out a senior technician, telling AHS that they needed access to my wall forgetting to leave out that it is their damage that caused the access need I am now out $579. I think A US air needs to do what is right and pay the $579 another company had to fix. Had they agreed to cut a hole in my wall caused by their damage I would have let a senior technician come to my home and resolve the issue. Bottom line they lost my trust by damaging my home and then refused to the right thing by handling the ENTIRE problem which included looking at the pipe in the Sheetrock. Please pay me the $579 your negligence caused. I also have pictures of the damage and the receipt if needed.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas We recently had our AC Air Handler replaced by A-US Air Conditioning of Texas, in Garland

We recently had our AC Air Handler replaced by A-US Air Conditioning of Texas, in Garland. They were supposed to replace our old variable speed unit with another variable speed one, but they didn't, even though Keith (one of the co-owners) called me (on 4/21) and promised that the replacement would also be variable speed, and the installers told my husband (on 4/26) when he asked (before it was installed) that the replacement was variable speed. However, they replaced it with a single-speed unit, which can't control humidity as well, among other things. Also, we had a 5 inch filter unit, but the installers tore it out and replaced it with a 1 inch filter; in addition, the installers left two kinds of adhesive on our floors. A-US sent out another service guy (on 5/2, who'd previously been to our home to work on the variable speed unit that had been replaced), and he stated that the replacement was not variable speed, that A-US was a "good company," the owners would "make it right," and that the humidity level issue would improve when the variable speed unit was installed. He also said that the previous 5 inch filter unit could have been re-used, and he didn't know why the installers had replaced it with a much smaller one. Today, Keith with A-US called my husband and told him that he was unwilling to replace the incorrect single-speed air handler with the promised variable speed one, although he said someone will come out to replace the incorrect filter unit and clean the floors (we'll see). This replacement was partially covered by American Home Shield, although we had to pay $1,575.00 of the costs. Under the warranty, we are entitled to an air handler with "similar features." Originally, Keith claimed we didn't have a variable speed air handler, and had my husband text him a photograph (on 4/21) proving that we did. That's when he called me back (same day, 4/21) and stated that we would be getting a variable speed one after all. But he lied to us, sent a single-speed (cheaper) unit, the installers lied to us about what unit they had to install, and the service guy on 5/2 said that A-US would make it right -- only they won't. AHS says they authorized what the contractor (A-US) reported. Keith also told my husband - today (5/11) to request a second opinion from AHS. I spoke with AHS today, and the Customer Service Supervisor said that a second opinion is not possible after equipment is installed, that Keith (A-US) knows that, and that AHS will ask him why he is telling a customer to do that when he knows it's impossible. We feel de-frauded. Keith has lied to us repeatedly. We were entitled to a variable speed air handler, which would have made a difference in the humidity and our comfort, and he knowingly had the wrong item installed. If Keith had told us up-front that he was unable or unwilling to install a variable speed unit, we would have been allowed to request another contractor.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas Upstairs AC system had adequate pressure to cool (lost ~2.5psi/wk measured 3x) but couldn't keep up with set point

Upstairs AC system had adequate pressure to cool (lost ~2.5psi/wk measured 3x) but couldn't keep up with set point. After tech visit R22 is all gone. I'll preface this by saying I work on medical cryogenic systems as a test engineer. I understand thermodynamics, closed loop systems, etc well enough to talk about them with confidence. This company was contracted through AHS. Here's the situation as I see it... My upstairs AC system was functioning at reduced cooling for about 1 month (would cool to 75f, and slowly raise to 78f by the end of the day)... something corroborated by multiple witnesses who have stayed with us and slept upstairs as recently as August 23rd. My home office is also upstairs, which I use every day. This timeline also matches a notable increase in energy usage, once the leak started. I measured system pressure at the condenser 3x over the last month, each time on a 95f day. Low side was first at 65psi, then 1.5 weeks later 63psi,and 2 weeks later ~58psi, and before the tech visit it was at ~55psi. The tech first looked at the condenser... Hooked up his pressure gages like normal, and I even saw the reading, which was a bit lower than my last reading, but not too far off. Of the 15 minutes he was out there, I was with him for 3 or 4. He then went upstairs in the attic to look at the handler, which I did not stay with him for at all. He said the evaporator coil was leaking, something that is quite common... Especially on an older system like mine. He mentioned that there might be some out of pocket charges as well. Here they are: PERMIT $225.00 FREON RECOVERY $250.00 DISPOSAL $150.00 HANGING KIT $150.00 FLOAT SWITCH $175.00 DUCT WORK/ PLENUM MODIFICATIONS $275.00 UL APPROVED MASTIC $150.00 EMERGENCY DRAIN PAN $300.00 R22 FREON (9lbs) $630.00 Chief building inspector says no permit required... A-US disagrees (LOL), Hanging kit can be re-used from existing and shouldn't be extra charge. Float switch is CHEAP and an easy pvc weld install. Mastic is standard install stuff.. $150? Drain pan is $65, so $235 to install? Please. Duct work is detach /reattach and covered in my plan, and almost $1000 in refrigerant charges?! Wtf?! Dispose of WHAT for $150? No thanks. Pure insanity. I called 5 licensed companies, and they all agree this is nonsense. Every one of them said those are standard or optional install items. AHS said its take 5 days to do a cash out, so I decided to turn my system back on so I could work in my office for the week. Then came trouble... After the tech left, I tried to turn on my system. Surprise surprise, it's totally out of R22. There's also a refrigerant oil spot by the condenser that he hooked his lines up to, which is not from purging a line. When I turned off that system the night before to prepare for the tech visit, that refrigerant line at the condenser was very cold to the touch. Now, it's warm at best, and measures 20psi. I'm in a position now where I can't run the system at all. Upstairs is too hot to sleep or work. I'll lose whatever is left of my expensive refrigerant to get a second opinion with nitrogen. Very upset that I'm worse off than when I started, and lost refrigerant I could have reclaimed. I want to be reimbursed for 3-4 lbs of lost refrigerant. They deny all responsibility... Of course.

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas faulty installation & negligence failure to follow up

faulty installation & negligence failure to follow up. Fire Dept 2 separate incidences after bad installation where Seagoville FDP came smoke harzard Me & my family could have died on two separate occasions after A US showed no compassion whatsoever and additionally the is company after they make mistakes have a very defiant attitude about fixing their mistakes and and give you the run around and allow customers to suffer without service and say we soory but there is nothing we can do as this was evidenced the second time the came to fix the air again after we waited days with no air in the entire house both upstairs and downstairs. Last Friday technician. Who was 1st one that was nice and explained the problem he went to get the part needed then came back. Finally we had air again then later that night around 2am where had family come visit so we were watching tv in the den and my wife saw and smelled smoke coming from the vent in the living room house had really smoky again. We had to call the seagoville fire department again and they were like not again what going on here they did a very thorough check and said whatever the company is doing there could be major loss of property and life. Both times the fries department personnel went into attic accessed the situation and both times they stated there were major problems with the air unit and if there. Was ever smoke before. I specifically asked the fire captain the first time they came out " if we were sleep or not home could i our home have burned to the ground . His response was. " oh yeah, Definitely this is a Serious Health hazard " they cut everything off both times. There could have burned to ground again. We have been without air conditioning since Friday. No they can't come till Thursday we can't sleep working from home as virtually been Impossible due to sweltering heat. We asked to be prioritized since this is the second time they have messed up and put my entire family in jeopardy of losing our home or yet even worse our lives. They can care less. They just say we'll call your home warranty again . Our home warranty are not the one who made the mistakes it is A-US air who made catastrophic mistakes that could have led to calamity. All they do is say nothing we can do about it. We have to put you back in line so we have to go 6 days without air ? This is the absolute worst service but not only that we could have potentially died. We will be seeking litigation due to the fact this company will end Cause a lot of damage to some family life and community up indirectly due to negligence, lack of accountability or and lack of competency. Blaming understaffing is unacceptable for the magnitude and severity of the nature of the sequence of events. Not once but twice the seagoville Fire Department had to come out to save our home. The entire time line spans over months actually as they have forgotten to order parts twice also. The1st time health hazard came about 2 weeks ago after bad installation that technician took at total of 8-9 hours to do whatever work was required to get both air units working we paid the money. Then smoke came from vents later that night my wife called me as I was not home and the fire department said the house definitely was in danger of burning to the ground had more we called or if we were sleeping. We went with our air in Dallas where it is currently 90 degrees. They also replaced a old unit. We contacted the company they sent someone else out to fix the problem and later that same night smoke came from the vents again

A-US Air Conditioning of Texas The company misdiagnosed the problem with my A/c unit & charged upfront but has not repaired unit

The company misdiagnosed the problem with my A/c unit & charged upfront but has not repaired unit. My kids & I have been in 90 degree house for 8days. My home warranty company (American Home Shield) assigned the repair of my air conditioning unit to A-US Air Conditioning. On 7/14, A-US Air Conditioning sent a technician (Jeremy ***) to my property to diagnose the problem after I had paid my service fee. Mr Jeremy *** came up with a diagnosis of aged cooling coils and low freon (see attached initial diagnosis document). His solution was to buy new coils and add freon. On 7/16, A-US Air Conditioning sent 2 technicians to my house to repair my a/c. I was charged $1,460.00 up front before the technicians would do any work on my a/c unit (see receipt attached). The technicians sent to my home were unbelievably unprofessional. They smoked on my property. They would not keep their face masks over their noses as required by CDC and city government during this Covid-19 crisis. They did not come with boot covers and walked around my carpet in their dirty socks. They borrowed equipment (electric extension cable) from me. And finally when they were finished, they left trash INSIDE and outside my home. Most importantly, they left my property without waiting to check whether the air conditioner was working. I called the office after they left to report that my a/c was not cooling. The installation supervisor (Mr "Kenny") was rude and unsympathetic on the phone. He told me that it would take 24 hours for my house to cool. He told me that if by tonight the house did not cool down, I should call their emergency line [protected]) and they would send out an emergency technician to fix it that night. It turned out that my a/c ended up not working that night and when I called the so-called "emergency line", I was told that it was not really an emergency line but rather a call answering service for taking calls that would be passed on to the company the next day. My minor children & 1 spent the night in 90-degree indoor temperature that night. The next day on 7/17, the company sent out Mr Jeremy *** again to my house. He looks again at the a/c and says this time that the compressor is bad. He was unable to explain to me why he had initially diagnosed the cooling coils as the problem. He was also unable to explain to me how he is certain that the compressor is the problem this time. He could not tell me if the compressor had been damaged during their initial repair attempt. Before he left, he told me that he had spoken with Mr Kenny and they were making arrangements for technicians to be at my house same evening of 7/17 or by next morning 7/18 to fix the problem. But I never heard from A-US Air Conditioning again. No one called me. No one emailed me. I called them back on Monday 7/20. I was transfered to Mr Kenny who nonchalantly told me that they would not have anyone out to repair my a/c until Tuesday 2/21. Today is Tuesday 7/21 and I have not heard from A-US Air Conditioning. As I write this review, it has been 8 days since A-US Air has been guessing what is wrong with my air conditioner while my children and I have been trapped in 90 to 100 degree July temperatures in Texas! A-US Air Conditioning is in the business of scamming people and should not be in operation. My Request: (1) I need A-US Air Conditioning to either repair my a/c unit for which they have been paid OR they should return the payment collected immediately so that I can hire another company (2) I need this company to be suspended from practice and reported to regulatory agencies for proper verification of their technical competence.
