Buyer Beware!
These guys sell themselves as a paypal alternative that will actually assist you in the event things go wrong with your online purchase. This could not be further from the truth. Once the transaction is completed, your money is gone, and delivery of the product is optional.. There are many options when making an online purchase. Do your homework and choose a provider that is reputable.

Scam Service
Never use 2checkout.com it is a scam. The 2checkout staff is incompetent! Thier website doesnt even work with the most popular browser on earth (internet explorer)! They also charge a scamming $50 setup fee (which nobody else charges) and then charge you ridiculous rates! Thier checkout pages will change everyday because they dont know what they are doing! It doesnt matter what you do it will change on you causing you lots of problems and lost revenue! They also will take money for your sales then not pay you! They stole my money! They are nothing but incompetent thieves! Never use this piece of crap service!

they are known for covering their ### with stolen money...
I have had a healthy business relationship with 2checkout.com for 2 years. On 2nd January 2013, they contacted me stating that my account was closed and that I could only have my account balance after a period of 90 days. After the 90 days, I wrote to them reminding them that I was expecting the money upon which they responded by stating that the money was forfeited because I violated their Terms of Usage. Keeping the money for 90 days was enough punishment or me and as if that was not enough, they now want to punish me twice by stealing my money! I find this immoral under the guise of violation of TOS. A forced forfeiture is open robbery. I will be filling a lawsuit soon while at the same time I wish to warn potential and current users of 2CO to think twice before trusting them with your money. There are many reliable providers who will not steal your money under the guise of TOS violation. This might appear as a story to you now but reality will hit when you become the next victim.
Misappropriation of Funds
I have an internet business and use 7 different merchant accounts to process payments. We just started using 2CO.com (out of business) (Google says business closed) AKA 2checkout.com dba D. D. were caught dipping into my account without my consent and supposedly "refunding" orders that were already filled.
When a legitimate transaction requests a refund both parties should have the opportunity to contest the issue and submit a detailed report on what transpired...but instead, 2checkout just dips their hand into your cookie jar behind your back and simply takes money out of your account without your consent or previous knowledge..out of 178 orders we placed with them in 8 weeks they charged us almost 9% in fees, held 11% back indefinitely and gave back 14% of sales in refunds...so, in other words we paid 2checkout to go to work. Nice.
I set up a merchant account with these people and they ended up charging me over 6% on my transactions, held back 11% of my sales and would refund my customers without even asking me what happened! The worst part being that the orders they refunded I had ALREADY FILLED! These guys call themselves your "partner" (they apparently think that they have a right to call themselves your business partner because you LET them process payments for you) Long story short if you need a merchant account don't even think about using 2 checkout.com as they are just another online scam. Particularly watch out for one of their scam managers D. D. who notified me that she has "already given a refund" on an order she knew nothing about...even though we had already filled the order and lost money on..what a complete ### D. is...and the owner of the company is a bigger ### for hiring incompetent scammers to skim your profits behind your back. What's worse is they rip you off and they smile while their doing it...they are much worse then someone that holds a gun to your head and steals your wallet...much worse They conveniently make it very difficult for you to track the "refunds" they give out...there is no list of refunds or credits in your account that you can track...check out the BBB and [redacted] for more derogatory information on this illegal operation. If you need to process payments then go to paypal or google checkout for fast payouts and they don't"dip" into the cookie jar behind your back...not to mention that they are 400% cheaper and much more cost effective. Also, 2 checkout holds your money for 10 days before they release pay into your account
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The above mentioned company has already been paid but refuses to deliver my final satisfactory product. The promised quality and guarantee in their website but i doubt it as they have not extended any to me.

Patrick
Worst Payment Gateway Service (2checkout) or i should say (2checkout is a scam company)
I just placed an order as i have got a discount coupon from 2checkout, i made an initial payment to 2checkout for the merchant services. To my surprise on the third day i see a note : 1732884 account closed.
After a days i get a response from 2checkout that my cc details did not match up with my order details for which i already told them that i have made the transaction using my wife's credit card and they are free to ask any proof for the payment and i would be happy to help them.
There is no response from 2checkout team. Can anyone help me?
By the way to let the public know who opened up this thread, Misappropriation of Funds...This company is called Mia's Maid Service...They have no right to call anyone a scam!
I was a customer of your service, So called Mia's Maids, and I am shocked that you have any nerve to call anyone else a "Scam". You stole my money, and never came through with service. The maids that you sent were rude, used fowl language, and two actually used physical abuse right in within my home! So when I asked for a refund, you refused.
So, you have no right to call anyone else a scam!
You are such a [censor]. First of all Dodie is just a customer care rep, nothing more. 2nd, there is no way to "dip" into your account.
The main problem with you is that you most likely didn't read any of the Terms Of Service or any of the other agreements and then got mad because you screwed up and now want to blame someone else for your stupidity. Way to go buddy. Post your ignorance for the world to see! Maybe if you had done what you were supposed to do your insecurities would not have lead you to defame Dodie, which might I add you can and probably will be sued for.
You would think that being a "business man" (and I use that term loosely) you would have read all legal agreements regarding accepting payments for your business.
Online scam
2Checkout have refused me as a vendor for what reason, I don't know. I called them and they said I will have to find alternative means of fetching CC/DC payments.
They wouldn't give me a reason why and were very blank with me. I have also had a ticket open with them for over 24 hours with no response.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Your company for no reason did a debit charge to my account
Yes i agree with you.I had transactions with them. They are supposed to clear my payments to clients but they gave me some kind of response saying i need to produce documentation etc.I sent them emails, urgent mails regarding payments, they took their own sweet time to reply me.I checked my bank statement and i saw they deducted from my account which is so much higher.I request from them statement of account from their side, they have not get back to me.I was totally disappointed and somehow i find it fishy about this company.
2Checkout.com is a scam. Their fees are outrageous and they have very little fraud checks. I would highly recommend that you stay away from this company, unless you want to be absolutely ripped off.
They stole my money !!!
2checkout in ohio is a scam! They have there own made TOS and there a horrible company! stealing peoples money for there own company! they dont hold it, they just steal it! I paid 49.99 for there services for my website to accept credit cards for my products! I paid and started using there checkout for credit card sales! I was very unaware that what I was selling was supposly against there TOS and in any case after reading it, my exact item wasnt under there prohibited items! ( they should list each one individualy ) And in any case they shouldnt have stole my money, they should have atleast warned me and stop accepting payments after first review! But no they waited till my sales went to over 700.00 and shut my account down and then said there keeping the money! I shipped all my customers items out also and couldnt just refund them back because 2co said they would have to charge me another 50.00 in transaction fees for the processing of the credit cards . What a joke I shouldnt have to pay 50.00 for money I didnt reecieve! That company is a scam and I live in the same state as them im just in aww over there horrible customer service and TOS ! They even called the first customer I took a credit card transaction from to make sure they were real! In any case I will ruin there name and there services and make them loose more then what they stole from me! Thats a promise!
“HOW TO ACCEPT 2CO”
hello, i used 2CO for a pharmacy business (ok some people will complain but i had no choice..). i created a plug in to make them allow all kinds of business. easy to use and to integrate. you can message if you are interessed. now i decided to sell it (or get a % on the turnover after application) send me message for more information regards
They are far the worst company to deal with even for buyers. I bought an item using 2checkout and they rejected my order with my verified credit card and paypal. I have raised tickets with there customer support and no reply. I tried ringing them and the phone just hangs up . They have charged both accounts and never refunded the amounts they supposedly rejected... There operating system of checking customers credit cards and paypal accounts has a bug and causing grief to a lot of people. I have now raised non delivery
complaints with mastercard and Paypal... Avoid this company like the plague, both vendors and customers.
I having the vendor account with 2checkout.com. My customer received service from me. In couple weeks, customer changed his mind and started complaint to 2checkout about it. I sent to 2checkout the proof of provided service. Guess what happened... customer (who used provided to him Google Search Engine Optimization Service) decided that best way to provide the proof of bad service, is to break all Google Inc. Terms and Conditions... In just a week customer's and later my accounts were suspended by Google Inc. Customer calls his creditors and complaints about inappropriate charges. Creditors, of course, put back on customer's account the payment he transferred to my vendor's account at 2checkout. The only 2checkout said: ...Yes..., we agree, that it is customer's fraud, but there is nothing we can do to protect you as vendor. I lost $425.00... Customer denied to explain this, 2checkout denied to provide customer's creditor info... People, be careful with 2checkout, all their promises will turn against you...
Oh my god..i had many transactions with them and they said they are holding my payments for some reasons.I checked my bank statement, they actually cleared some of my payments but most still not clear yet.Worst of all, my clients are demanding me for payment and asked me why did i cancel my payement. It was not me, it was 2checkout and i'm even banned from one website and i'm accused by my clients that i am not making payment.Initially, transactions were fine and money is back into one of the website account. One day, as usual i top up money for the website services and as usual going thru under 2checkout but it was shown as zero.I top up usd $40 and i went to the website customer service live chat. Most of the customer service in this website was horrible, they hang up while i am trying to explain and want to know whats going on.This website is a service website. After trying so hard in the website for help, theres a kind soul who helped me retrieve back my usd $40.I had even sent emails to 2checkout to retrieve my usd $40 but they took so long to get back to me, asking me to fill in the forms(provide them with details or credit card etc).Out of precaution, i did not provide them and luckily managed to used my usd$40 for services in the website.2checkout deducted from my bank account is much higher than what i am supposed to pay for the services.I demand that they give me full explanation and they just sent me emails like
"Thank you for contacting the Fraud Prevention Unit. We apologize for any delay in our response. Your orders have been canceled because we did not receive the documentation that we requested. Before we can accept your payments, we will need to verify your orders. In order for us to be able to accept any future sales, we will require further verification. We will need you to provide us with the authorization code for this transaction. The authorization code is the six character code that is assigned to each transaction. You can obtain this information by calling your bank or credit card company (the number listed on the back of your credit card). Please reply with the authorization code at your earliest convenience. I apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. Thank you for your time and cooperation with this matter. "
Previously they had already deducted from my bank account and right now they wanted me to provide them with full details.Honestly speaking, i felt this company is very fishy. This is the worst nightmare i had ever and all my transaction is USD.Try this company if you want your money go down to drain.
I agree, the 2Co or 2Checkout are the worst nightmare an online business can have... their customer support is very bad and they don't care about the merchants... don't work with them... go to any alternative!
and file cases with the BBB... this should be rated as an F business!
ANY SATISFACTION FROM THEM YET? I JUST PAID THE 49 AND SIGNED UP
payment to scam company
I made a payment of 80 euro to Non-Plagiarised Essays-UK for an essay and because it was giving an option to pay through Paypal I thought it was above board. However at some point when I was entering details I realised that they were going to a 2checkout.com instead of Paypal. I've since found out that Non-Plagiarised-Essays-UK is a scam.

It is now 23 May'08, 12.50am(GMT+8) & my credit card account still doesn't show any refund for:
Sale: [protected] Amount: 12.00
Additional comments: Money Back Guarantee - $12 -datasage.net
I have online access to my credit card account including all billed & unbilled transactions. This means I can even see transactions which have yet to appear in my monthly statement. There is no entry for a US$12 refund. I have called my credit card bank & they confirm the same.
What's happening? I don't want to ask my credit card bank to raise a dispute unless absolutely necessary in order to avoid extra work & hassles for all parties concerned but I need to see the refund in immediately(no later than my 24 May'08).

It has been 15 days from your email informing me that I should receive the refund in 7-10 days.
What exactly is a "reasonable amount of time to push this refund"? When exactly will I be receiving the refund? I need to keep my Credit Card Bank posted so that they can advise me on the next course of action to seek redress.

Each time I wait for 7-10 days for the refund, it never happens. This is the 2nd time I'm being asked to wait 7-10 days (on top of the most recent 5 days). How am I to know for sure that the refund will happen after this? Do you really feel that an apology suffices? What happens if it still doesn't go through? What are you doing different from the last 3 times to ensure it goes through?
This US$12 is nothing compared to the business loss during the 1 week I hosted with you & my website & email was down 3 times, the last for more than 56hrs before I had no choice but to immediately host with someone else. However, this US$12 refund is an indication of your sincerity in service recovery & you commitment to fulfill your 30-day money-back guarantee. The longer you take to do this & the more time & effort I need to get you to do what you should have done promptly & without any hassle on my part reflects badly on you & 3ix.
I'm still hosting another domain & website with 3ix (I've mentioned the domain to them in earlier emails) & I'm seriously considering if I should continue to do so if I don't get the refund this time.

As I anticipated, it is 19 June'08 and, once again, after waiting 10 business days from your last promise that I will receive the refund by 18 June'08, I have not.
What's your excuse this time? What exactly went wrong this time? What did you do this time that's different from the past 4 times? What will you be doing different henceforth?
I've received a US$6.95 refund for the same order within 10 business days previoulsy. Why can't you replicate what you did for this US$6.95 refund when you process the US$12 refund?
It's becoming clear that you are just making excuses and really have no intention to make the refund. You really leave me no choice but to do what I need to do to get back what's rightfully mine.

I have several transactions with them.Recently, i checked my bank account and noticed that they deducted way higher than what i am supposed to pay for the services in www.destle.com.Right now, 2checkout stopped my payment and stating in the email "Hello, Thank you for contacting the Fraud Prevention Unit. Thank you for your time and cooperation with this matter."
Previously they process my payement and now they state this in emails.Their customer service is real bad in the extent that i had to spam them with emails knowing that they take their own sweet time to reply. When they reply, its not really relevant to what you request or enquire from them.I wanted their process payment statement and the email above is what they replied to me.This is a piece of [censor].When i requested services in destle.com, my credit card has already been deducted by those amount and the readers in the website said that i have not made payment. Its outrageous, i was accused and banned from that website. When i live chat with the customer service in destle.com, most tried to avoid my question and i was so lost. After about 3hours later, i was so pissed..and one of the kind soul called me, yes he called me from overseas telling me that he will retrieve back my money for me.He did and i really thanks him. While 2checkout sending emails asking me to provide them with details etc..see that its so hard to retrieve money from 2checkout.Anytime of the day, they will hold back your payments and thats very bad.I lost my credibility to the readers and its very fishy about destle.com and 2checkout.I'm a victim and i keep using destle.com services without knowing that 2checkout has not process my payment, can u imagine how much money has accumulated and they are holding. My transactions all in USD and there are about 22 transactions not clear?I was banned from the website and get accused of not paying up.Try 2checkout at your own risk.Moral of the story, what comes around goes around, may all of them go to hell.
O.M.G THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT SCAM!MY BANK IS NOW TAKING LEGAL ACTION THEY ARE PATHETIC!

I actually had signed up for an account at 3AM today [3/13/2008] and I just demanded a refund of my processing fee 5 minutes ago. Those people are fruity pebbles!
First off, since I used my PayPal Premier Business Card to pay for the processing fees, the validation number was not showing so, I could not validate. So, I opened a ticket. They responded and said it would take a few more days and to check for the validation number again. OK, no problem. They also added the following:

Upon initial review of your account, we have found the following issue(s) that may *restrict your ability to accept sales*:
**Your account is currently marked *inactive*, you will be receiving a parameter error when trying to purchase due to the following reason(s) listed below:
* Privacy/Refund Policies Required *
You must maintain a web site(s) that contains complete marketing, advertising, and product information including valid customer service information, a refund and return policy, our compliance disclaimer and a universally accepted privacy policy.
* Incomplete Site *
Your website is not yet functional and/or the URL is invalid and redirects to an unauthorized URL. 2Checkout requires that all suppliers to have a valid URL with a functional website. It is not necessary for the website to be elaborate; a simple page with information about your products and/or services, your contact information, pricing structure, purchase routine and a refund policy will suffice. Before 2Checkout can activate sales, these requirements need to be met and any transactions, including demo transactions will cause a PARAMETER error return. Upon completion of your website, please notify us at the email address provided below.
* Incomplete contact details *
The Contact Information section of your account pages, including Site description, product description, identification number and type, and your date of birth must be completed. 2Checkout is required to have this information on file in order to send payments to you. While this lack of details will not immediately affect your ability to sell, it is important that we have the information on file as soon as possible. Please complete this section of your account as soon as possible and notify us at the email address provided below.
* Unknown products/services *
We were unable to determine what products or services you are selling. As your reseller, 2Checkout has specific guidelines that need to be followed, including accountability for products and services being sold. Please email us as soon as practical at the email address provided below to explain in detail what you are selling.
* Supplier Site Language *
The manner in which you display credit card logos and/or represent the relationship between your business and 2Checkout does not meet our Site Language guidelines. The credit card associations and 2Checkout's upstream provider are very specific on how they expect the customer to perceive the relationship between 2Checkout and our Suppliers. While these issues will not immediately affect your ability to sell, it is important that your site meet the terms of service requirements as soon as possible. Further information is available at
http://www.2checkout.com/language_guidelines.html
*Upon resolution of the aforementioned issue(s), please email me at [protected]@xxxxxx so that I may expedite your service.
Huh? None of that applied to me or my site. So I wrote back:

I entered that information long before bblair posted the above comment
* Unknown products/services *
When I filled out the form it asked what I was selling. Look at my site... I sell hosting and hosting related services.

Until the account is validated and I am able to offer 2checkout as a payment gateway to my customers, there is no point in enabling the payment module or adding any "Supplier Site Language" as it will only CONFUSE my customers
Their response:

Hello,
Yes, I did bother to check your site; that doesn't exist. The URL you confirmed and provided again redirects to www.trafficcleaner.com which has nothing but a blank white page. This has been tested on 3 different browsers from 4 different locations. Therefore, I'm unable to review your site and its content, which would also prevent me from viewing your privacy and refund policies or even determining what you're selling with 2CO.
2Checkout is not a payment gateway. We're an authorized retailer. We are the party selling the products or services you're offering. The customer is buying from 2CO, our name appears on their credit card statement and it's our Merchant Account that takes on the risk of doing business with you. You are required to follow the guidelines outlined in the "Supplier Site Language" area of the Terms of Service and Supplier Agreement that you read and agreed to at the time you signed up to do business with us. Please fix the site allowing us to view its content and ensure that you are in compliance with the Credit Card Associations and our Terms of Service and Supplier Agreement. Until we're able to view and approve the site, the account will remain suspended for sales.

Hey Brian... are you smoking crack? My site is not redirecting anywhere!
My response:
Nothing wrong with my site... it does not redirect to www.trafficcleaner.com, unless of course you are in a country, such as Iran, that I don't not do business with. Perhaps you need to get a tech person to look at your system.
Your not selling my products, I am. I use a shopping cart that has a 2checkout payment module. All your doing is managing the payment, much like PayPal does, which makes 2checkout a payment gateway.
You can refund the $49. I will contact PayPal about it ASAP.
And Brian... again:
Hello,
2Checkout *is* selling the products. This is clearly mentioned (multiple times) in the Terms of Service and Supplier Agreement you read or may not have read, even though you agreed to, at the time you signed up. Your account has been closed and your sign up fee has been refunded. 2CO chooses not to support your site and services. Please look elsewhere for your business needs.
Should you need additional assistance, have further questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reopen this ticket or call our 24 Hour customer care center toll-free from the US & Canada at [protected], Internationally at [protected] or from the UK & Northern Ireland at [protected].

That was the quickest business relationship I have never had.
DO NOT make the mistake of signing up with 2checkout, unless you want to suffer like me!
I have been in business with this company as a vendor for the past 5 years. All of a sudden they make my account inactive and I lose my sales. This they did without any prior warning at all. I discovered this on my own when I found all my order links showing a 'parameter error'! When I inquired, they told me that my website was missing a number of documents such as privacy policy, refund policy etc (which is of course b.s; the link to all policies is right there on my homepage and salespages; maybe the person reviewing my website was a blind man!). I gave them the links to these policies and then they insisted that these links must be right on the order page (How am I supposed to do that? Since 2checkout really offers me a payment link redirect and not an order page). I insisted that these links are indeed ON the salespages from which customers would be ordering my products (in fact, not a single customer has raised an issue about these, in all these 5 years btw!).
When that was over they insisted that my salespages had no 'real marketing' at all. I asked what they mean by 'real marketing' since I indeed do the marketing required to sell my products.
At last they insisted that I give them access details to my customer areas (including membership login areas) so they can take a look around. I refuse this, because not only this would violate the privacy of my customers, I also don't trust them enough for that (ever seen a PayPal staff asking you for any kind of 'password/login information'?). This is the only thing I refused them and due to that they permanently set my account to 'inactive' status first and then to dormant status!
That over, I asked them to close my account and give me the remaining $54 balance I had in my account. 2checkout has a different 'release level' for each payment option they offer, in case you don't know, and if your balance is below that release level, then you won't get the money, no matter how much you beg. They said that:
'The minimum release level for a wire transfer is $300, for Payoneer is $20 and for Air Mail check is $100."
Based on the above, my only option was Payoneer. And on top of that - it is not the 'direct bank transfer' option of Payoneer, mind you (which is what I asked for because it is free but again was refused by 2checkout), but instead the MasterCard option which would actually require me to invest around $25 just to get the card! Didn't make any sense to me to spend $25 to get $54 back, so I decided to leave the balance in my account.
I thought (and requested too) that they would make an exception in case of account closure and send me one last air mail check! But NO! They are not humans at all! They are just working machines without any sense of empathy in them!
I am writing this so others know that they treat their customers like dirt, regardless of how long you are doing business with them! STAY AWAY from them! Even Paypal, as bad as they are, is still much better than 2checkout!
Hi,
I have almost similar problem with 2ChackOut
They choose the answers according to their convenience and not according to the exigency of the problem or the interests of the client.
Did you get the refund of $49?
Please share with me the resource where I can resort to the refund of my deposits from them.
I shall be grateful for your reply on my email address: onlinepk@cyber.net.pk

2CO is not as clear as I would like it to be about their requirements and their customer service is _slow_, at least these days.
I typed in http://www.supremecenterhosting.com/ and it took me to the right page. No forwarding page - No white page. The page is clearly a website hosting service. What I find Ironic is that I had the same problem (except for the blank page) 2checkout said that my page needed to be translated in English. I find that bazaar, because the only language I speak is English. I don't know what it is with Web Hosting Providers and 2Checkout.com. All I recommend is that if you are a Web host provider stay away from 2co. Go with paypal, google checkout, or even have your client send you a money order. It is not worth the headache.
Fraud and cheating!
Do not use 2CO to process your payment; they refund payments without ascertaining if the item was shipped or not, horrible customer service that tell lies and false statements are made about refunds being made, but actually wasn't.
Our firm will contact the State Attorney's Office in the State where 2CO is doing business.
Client complaint:
I have had a rather short email from someone at FX source on behalf of 2CO.com this morning. (14th august) however, it seems to state that a MR John Traviilian is going to investigate, how he can get me the account information so I can apply for a refund? This doesn't make much sense, as I was told the refund had already been issued, and surely it isn't down to me to make the refund it is up to them, as you have already instructed them to do so. This seems to be getting more and more complicated!
Thanks Muchly.
2CO Big Fraud and scam: this is a [censored]ing fraud company, they have stolen all my balance payment of $6000 USD, dont use this 2CO for big payments, they will block it and steal your money.
I just had two unauthorized payment 100 USD each for a transaction I did not know about.
How can I refund these 2.COM? please share you experienced with us
They charged my master card ON CHRISTMAS EVE $317 luckily I had fraud alert 🚨
I've never heard of these people shame on them 2020 have been enough for us all
I am a buyer, The exchange rate to US dollars is always much higher than the actual rate. There is no explanation for this extra cost. Paypal uses a slightly higher rate but this is clearly set out before payment is made.

$75 was taken from my account. Who are y'all? I want my money back!
I have had a similar experience with this processor and cebuflorist.com! They sent horrible flowers for our anniversary/valentine's day (same day) and they did not even send the full amount of flowers.
I filed a dispute/claim and they sent replacement flowers 5 days later without even asking me if this was acceptable. They are just trying to get out of refunding the meager 50% I asked for! Horrible service!
I do not like this company, they charged me for something I canceld already, a homepage in datingsitebuilder.com wich didnt respond so the bills keept on coming. SCAM all together, I will advice all my friends and all of you to stay away from them. But dont worry, i blocked my visa card before they tried to charge me for 900 dollars just now... SCAMMERS!
2co is a scam. I wanted a battery for my laptop from http://www.battery-notebook.org/
The money was taken from my account but soon I received an email that the order has been canceled and my money will be refunded. However after 60 days (!) the money has not been refunded and neither have I received the battery.
2CO says that battery-notebook canceled the transaction and battery-notebook says that 2co has canceled the transaction. I am at a loss as to whom to contact. I have sent several mails to them during the past 15 days and have not received a response.
I have opened a ticket too without any luck. Someone please tell me whom to contact to make a complaint.
In my opinion both www.battery-notebook.org and 2CO are running a big SCAM to take all your money. Do not do business with them. Pay a little more and buy your battery from a reliable seller who actually responds to customers.
Refused order!
Here's my nightmare with 2checkout.com...
Customer placed a $49,000 order. Later that day it passed 2CO fraud review.
This was my indication that the order was good and the following day I initiated the process of filling the order. Three days later, after the order had been sent off to the customer, I called 2CO because I was concerned that the payment hadn't been processed. Larry assured me that although it hadn't made this week's payment cycle it would certainly be on the following week's. He further assured me that the payment was guaranteed as it had been approved by the bank.
An hour or so later I received notification via email that the order had been canceled by 2CO and refunded to the customer. As a consequence of this action I am now left scrambling trying to recover the goods which will not only cost me to have returned, providing I am able to do this, but I am also out of pocket the potential profit from the sale.
2CO website states: "... accounts whose sales level drastically rises, will be subjected to our account verification process. This process is typically done through voice verification with the end user of the service or product.
While this process is usually seamless, difficulty in verifying the legitimacy and status of your account can result in the delay of your initial payments."
Notice that it says this can delay payments, not cancel orders. Did 2CO, in fact, try to notify the end user to verify the order? If so, what was the result? No answer. If not, why not? Why was I not notified immediately rather than several days later, after I had shipped the order? 2checkout.com has been unable or unwilling to answer these questions.
I have been a customer of 2CO for a number of years. Now I'm an ex-customer. I would caution anyone considering using their services to do so at their own risk.
After 6 months of battling with a seller (sent me a damaged part, I sent it back at my expense, they wouldn't give me a refund and never sent a replacement as they said they would). I am now out the money (only about $100 but its the principle) and the seller has all but stopped replying to my emails. I decided to ask 2checkout for help. They were very unhelpful and said it was not their job as a payment processing agent and I should try dealing with the seller directly (hah after 6 months of getting screwed around by them).
bottom line, 2checkout has no accountability, stick with sellers that use Paypal.
They do not offer any help with problems you encounter with their seedy business partners.
My account is closed without any reason. Some one bought some items from my web site and their order went to review process and canceled. They closed my account with running a single transaction. I am thinking to take legal action against this company.
Now 2checkout.com has sent me an email wanting 9.15 refunds fees on my account that I closed over 2 months ago. I called and unfortunately had to curse the REP because he refused to work with me at all. Josh the customer service rep was a complete [censor]. I will not pay the 9.15 fees. You can kiss my a**. How about paying me my 49.00 back. Oh I forgot it is non-refundable. Well guess what thieves, my 9.15 is non refundable also.
I would not recommend 2checkout.com. They also scammed me out of 150.00 dollars. They will give a refund without contacting the seller to see if the item was shipped or not. This is exactly what happened in my case. They are a gang of thieves, stay away!
i started using 2co this week and my 1sti started using 2co this week. i got an order immediately. received and email from 2co telling the order passed and i should send the item right away. i sent the item to the customer and after a day i received an email stating that i should refund the customer. now i cant get my item back and i have to refund the money. this never happened to me with paypal. so now i'm going back to them. order
hi,
the 2co or 2 checkout are the worst nightmare for online businesses...
they did something similar with me... they canceled a client's payment after i delivered the service.. i followed with them and i'm now filing a complaint with the BBB... hoping i will be able to get even with them!
the damage they cost not only financially but also to our reputation by refunding the money to the client's credit card! and we are a long standing business... we maintained a 0% chargeback rate with our previous payment gateway for three years!
they did not listen, wouldn't care about logical arguments and couldn't be colder and careless!
i highly suggest no once works them... they are just evil... power corrupts and they got big fast!
2checkout always finds a way to screw its sellers out of money... this
is their entire business is screwing sellers either thru disgustingly
high fees and charges to send out checks... They also never allow a
seller to work out any issues with buyers, they simply refund the buyer
without good reason because they still make their processing fees
regardless if they refund or not !
Do not use 2checkout, they are much like a casino where today better
seems like a good idea, even tomorrow but in the long run they will
always get you and grab all your hard earned money !
Payments are not as big as expected
I having been using their merchant services for my online http://www.admain.co.uk. It came to light after a few transactions that my payments where not as big as expected. I am fully aware that the company takes a percentage in the transaction. I am also fully aware that they hold back a percentage in case any of my clients reuest their money back. i am also fully aware that it cost $6.00 ( U.S. dollars) for them to wire my money across.
What I am not aware of is how around 5% of the transaction disappears from my clients making a payment to it reaching my merchant account with 2Checkout.
As an example, the last transaction was for £500.00 ( U.K. pounds). On the day of the transaction I checked with all the leading currency conversion dealers. Each and every single one said I would receive around $929.00 (U.S. Dollars). Yet the amount 2Checkout say it is $876.60 ( U.S. Dollars). Thats a missing total of almost $60.00 and that is on just one transaction, there are similar percentage amounts missing on all transaction.
When I questioned this, I was told that I had started with wrong amount (I have signed invoices which was correct my end the amount that I invoiced customers for), which coincidentally is the same amount I sent an email link to the customer for to make payment, which is also the same amount (the correct amount) which was paid by the customer, which is in big bold figures on my account with 2Checkout.
They have tried to blatantly lie to me, saying I do not know how much I am invoicing customers for, and how much my customer is paying for my services. I am not stupis, I run my own successful business. I know how much my customers are invoiced for, I know how much my customers pay, they send me a signed receipt on deliver of goods. 2Checkout themselves send me a copy of the request for payment link. Its says in my account with 2Checkout, how much in U.K. pounds the customers has paid. It always is over 5% short from converting from pounds to Dollars compared with every currency conversion firm I find. It actually says in 2Checkouts T&C's that with their buying power, converting over $1,000,000 ( U.S. dollars) a week, they get fantastic rates, so if I change currency for lets $500.00, I get a better exchange rate. In 10 tranactions done through them, I am over $500.00 short, on top of their fees.
This matter is ongoing.
Jon

“HOW TO ACCEPT 2CO”
hello, i used 2CO for a pharmacy business (ok some people will complain but i had no choice..). i created a plug in to make them allow all kinds of business. easy to use and to integrate. you can message if you are interessed. now i decided to sell it (or get a % on the turnover after application) send me message for more information regards
jak-et-bernadet@safe-mail.net
If you are alway looking for a better service, I would check out menexis at http://menexis.com . Been using them for some time now and no complaints
Jon, I read your comments about 2checkout carefully.
Even I have had some unpleasant experience with them.
I am a registered vendor. My compliant about them is their extremely slow wire transfers. The funds have not reached me for one month now!
When I asked them for the details about my wire transfer they sent me a canned reply. When I pressed on seeking more details they have not replied to me. I have an open ticket (8241-TYPS-4275) in their helpdesk which is lying unanswered for the last 6 days.
This is supposed to be a US company and we expect emails to be replied much faster.
If they don't pay their supplier for one month, then something is wrong with their service.
If they dont bother to reply to a complaint on their helpdesk for 6 days then it is downright it reflects very poorly on this company.
