They repossessed my vehicle and on the very last day to make the payment to retrieve the vehicle before it was sold at auction, I was able to get someone to help. When I called with the payment at 4:30P and went through the process, they said the card declined. Then they asked me if it was a credit card, I said yes, they said we don't take credit cards. I told them this was the only funds I could get to make the payment. It would have been nice to have that information from the beginning of the situation prior to the last day of payment. They then suggested that I could use money gram but then told me they only accept debit cards as well. I told the agent that it did not make sense for him to recommend MoneyGram if it does not take credit cards and that was all I had available. I looked into it because it did not sound correct. MoneyGram DOES ACCEPT credit cards just have a high fee. I immediately called back and got a different agent who was willing to help with the process at 4:45P. Then I was told to call back in an hour with the confirmation code to ensure it was received. I was confused because the very first person said I had to pay by 5P, so I was not certain how I could call back. Then I was told they do not close until 9P but payments had to be made by 5P to be processed same day. I called back and a new person answered, as I was explaining what happened, they interrupted me and said it might not have went through because of the time. I continued to explain and then all of the sudden music started playing as if I was on hold, seven minutes later the call disconnected. I called back again and immediately was placed on hold for another twelve minutes. I hung up and called back and was placed on hold for another ten minutes. I finally was able to speak with someone who was able to confirm the payment went through. Then he asked if I had the information to pick up the vehicle, which I did not. He provided the information to me and was very helpful. This entire situation was very unprofessional with the various different information being given and I almost lost my vehicle because the very first agent gave bad information with only twenty minutes to figure out a solution. Had I not checked for myself I would be at a total loss with a family having four kids and no transportation. It was almost like they wanted me not to come up with the money so they could sell it at auction, which doesn't make sense if I still owe thousands on it and someone was only going to pay hundreds for it when the blue book value is under $1000. I still owe $10,000 on a 2013 vehicle that was purchased in 2022 and have already paid $10,000 of the entire bill and the vehicle has more than 230,000 miles. Most companies are out just to make money instead of doing what is humane and right, they should have just accepted the payment and said you don't owe us anymore money due to the value of the vehicle and released my title to me. I guess that makes too much sense for it to be the right thing to do.
