On 12/24/2018, I called in too work. This is my first actual called out. I have been on time and making it to work, all the time. I actually had been catching Lyft to work. Whether I was sick or not. I stated to the manager Josh my situation. I am presently staying at the Salvation Army, didn't have transportation or anything. I do not want to be placed on the Do not rehire list but would like to move to a different location close to me, which will be Madison Avenue Waffle House. I can not afford to continue to catch Lyft to work, because I can not afford it. Also, I am not making enough money to continue to Catch Lyft to work and I love working at Waffle House because of my customers.
I admit that there were times when needed to feed myself and stole from the register. But I am not the only one that broke the rules. There is this one employee who often came in late and still works there. When I was fired they called me ungrateful. They said that they offered me leftovers. They are the ones being unreasonable who wants the same restaurant food all the time. Especially from a restaurant that you work in. The only reason that I was fired was because they know I stay in the Salvation Army and have no money for a lawyer. If I did I would sue them. Also they claim they were being generous. But how generous is it go give food that they are going to throw out. I had to steal from the register. But others who came in late one, that comes in late often still works there. Unfair.
For real!?!? Do you hear yourself Valeria? You steal you get fired! That's it!
Are you for real? You can't steal from your employer and expect not to get fired and use the lame excuse everyone else is doing it. That doesn't make it any more right. I know for a fact Waffle House has a meal plan for thier employees they can eat twice a shift for free. If you are hungry enough you will eat it. I wish you the best. Make better decisions.
Actually you are doing it and I know exactly who you are.
