Vectone Mobile Holding“smart” rate

I topped up £10, sent smart to 345 and placed a few calls and after I checked my balance, I found out the smart rate had not been activated. After I called customer service, they told me they had some problem and eventually resolved it but i've been told I cannot get the money i've lost (around £7). I've suggested we should make a deal by receiving only a £5 refund but my reasonable offer was declined. As the problem was at their end, I was expecting them to take responsibility and compensate me but they refused?!?
