We visited Vallarta Gardens in September of 2022. We were staying in Vallarta Nuevo at the Vidanta.com/en/web/riviera-maya. Outside of the resort We were approached by a young Mexican man who said we could get us all of these goodies if we went for a tour of this new development. We had no plans for the next day. So, we thought it will give us something to do and to see another part of the area. Of course, it ended up being a day with a lot of pressure. But, hindsight we should of known it was too good to be true. We owned 2 other time shares which they offered us $101,000. Plus, $2,000 per week for each week we gave back to them to rent. Supposedly, the ownership we purchased was a foreclosed contract. So, we would be entitled to 5 weeks from their previous year + 4 weeks of ours. Being due to us in September of 2023. So, $18,000 due to us on September 12, 2023. When we called to see where our money was, they said we needed our ownership documents. We still owed over $10,000. So, we scraped up the money for the payment. When the payment to us did not show up, they said it was a tax mistake on the original documentation and they would correct it, but, we would not receive our money until Dec. 7th 2023. Of course, it didn't come. But, then suddenly they said they wired it to us and it could take up to 70 banking hours. Of course, again it didn't come. After a couple of weeks of more complaining to them. On Dec. 29th 2023. We got an email stated that the first transfer was rejected. But, they resent the payment back to us earlier that day. And we should have it by January 16th, 2024. Again, no $. So, yesterday they emailed me and said the money could not be sent because of a taxing issue on the contract that needed to be resolved. I told them they should check thier past emails, because they had already used that excuse on us. So, we are out of +$45,000. Gareth Grieve was our sales representative. I've contacted him many times. He acts like he us going to help. But, then he comes up with a reason not to help. Apparently this week he is in bed with the flu! We feel so stupid to have let them take advantage of us.

Desired outcome: I would like to have a conversation with someone who has the authority to make something happen. Or, even just be honest with us on what is going on.
