Couldn’t be more frustrated and disappointed in the service I received. I had 30 days of rental car coverage under my insurance plan. I asked the manager Konnor specifically when I would need to return the rental car according to this arrangement. He charged me for the tax on the rental up until that exact day (Friday 1/13/2023). When I returned the car on that day I was told I would need to pay over $200 because my insurance was only willing to pay up until the day before. I told the staff person I was informed by the manager to return the car on this specific day and not the day before and was in fact charged up until that day which proves when I was instructed to return the car. Since that day I received calls every few days from different people informing me I had this outstanding balance to pay. Each time I explained the situation and asked to speak with Konnor or any manager/ supervisor. Each time I was told they were not available but would call me promptly and my card on file would not be charged. This cycle repeated for several weeks and no manager/ supervisor ever contacted me or agreed to speak with me when I called. I saw on my credit card statement that they had in fact ignored my attempts to resolve this issue and charged my credit card without my consent. At this point I believe they either accidentally told me the wrong day and are unwilling to take accountability for this mistake or they intentionally misinformed me knowing they could later charge me several hundred dollars on top of the tax fee I had paid out until that day and likely get away with it. Either way, the business practices at this particular location are deeply unethical and the behavior of the manager Konnor was just reprehensible. I had already been experiencing considerable hardship requiring me to utilize my insurance coverage to rent a car in the first place and Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Lake City compounded that hardship exponentially.
Desired outcome: Refund the full charge for the “additional” day for $221.80
