We booked two nights, but wanted to check out after the first night stay. Due to inclement weather there was no staff working that day to check us out, therefore we left and called first the local hotel then the reservation 800 number by the check out time of 11:00 am (actually called at 9:00 am) to check out and cancel our second night stay, but reservations said they couldn't cancel and had us call the guest service 800 number to receive a credit (the local hotel already charged us for the two nights stay). We called guest services and the lady made notes of the multitude of attempts to check out and cancel our second night (gave us a report number) then said to call back tomorrow for a credit (this took a couple of hours of our time). When I called guest service 800 number the next day the lady said guest services couldn't give a credit without reservations sending them a request for a credit. I then told her to keep the monies and that motel 6 has lost our future business and all she had to say was okay. Not a professional company!
Desired outcome: The requested credit for the night that we tried to cancel
