We had our Yukon towed to Maaco in Lancaster, Texas. They keep our vehicle for a month and continued to lie about the completion date. I gave them $3,000 upfront because they needed to purchase parts and attempted to get the entire check from the insurance company. When we finally pick up our vehicle they had 1) Bent the hood and said it happen because they had to boost the battery. Our battery was purchased 6 months ago. They were probably listening to the system installed and ran the battery down but they bent the hood. 2) The rear window would not stay raised. When we bought the truck up there the window had no problem staying up. I ended up buying lift support struts installed. 3) The original damage was down at the back of the vehicle and when we picked it up the rear sway bar and tire rod were broken and hanging down. They said they would need to contact the insurance company again. They had already done that once. 4) The rubber for the back bumper did not fit and when we picked the truck up after they told us we could not get it or check it out till it was paid for, they never gave us the rubber for the back bumper. I gave them a check for the last amount they ask for which was $2,109, but after they gave us the truck and I saw all that was still incomplete and damaged I ask my banking institution not to pay it. I had all the other things repaired at a different shop and paid $800. Then Maaco owner texted me that it should have been $2,400 paid. I ask what about the $800 spent, the hood is still bent, and the extended time I paid for the rental. We decided to squash this mess by me bringing them $1,700 cash and I am so glad I had his guy Tony sign a document stating that was the end of it. However, after telling us 5 different times the rubber for the bumper would be in we were just told that I said to keep it. Well, that was before the $1,700 was agreed upon. When asked for the rubber the owner or someone was rude, belligerent, and totally unprofessional. But I expected that from a company that wanted you to pay in full before they did any work. I paid for a rental automobile all while Maaco had our truck. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO MAACO AGAIN! I WILL TELL EVERYONE NOT TO ALSO! Besides that, I am a Best-Selling Author, Motivational Speaker, and Pastor, and work with law enforcement and school districts. We have several businesses in Desoto and DFW. Not to mention we took one of our service trucks for repair today somewhere else. We have 7 trucks and Maaco will not do body work on any of them.
Desired outcome: Deliver our rubber to us ASAP! I will have someone else install it.
