Went to get my husband's prescription on 9/6/2022 around 6:30pm. The tech at the drive thru said the pharmacist did not fill it the dr just said needed alcohol wipes and needles. Did not consider this a prescription request. Did not call the dr to get clarifying info. Prior to this I tried calling the pharmacy to see if the prescription was filled. I sat on hold for over 20 minutes, decided to drive and take my chances. Had to call the hospital to get the prescription filled. The insulin was filled friday needed the needles. Got my prescription home and it was needle tips for a pen. Drove back briefly spoke to the pharmacist because all he could say was that was what the dr called in; records should show there has never been pens prescribed in over 6 years. Tried to get my money back ($35.00) and was informed could not get my money back. The pharmacist on duty could not even be bothered with my situation and was extremely rude. Thankfully the tech did inform me I could purchase needles till I got the prescription confusion fixed. There should be something in your records to alert the tech, or pharmacist that the prescription did not match.. Instead of wasting my time and money. If my insurance did not make me use cvs, I would be using a new pharmacy.
