I had been having some problems with Shortness of breath (SOB) and was on my way to the urgent care clinic which I learned was closed (can't afford emergency room and don't have insurance).
So I went to Walgreens in Durant, OK - Store # 11317.
I asked for an OTC inhaler to which the 'Pharmacy Tech" responded that inhalers are no longer sold OTC. The pharmacist wearing a white coat, stood next to the tech but never addressed me other than through the tech.
When I asked if there was something I could do, I was told to go see my MD (I don't have a PCP but was able to make an appt with a pulmonologist for later in the month).
Obviously, the pharmacist doesn't think I am worthy to be spoken to.
I went across the street to walmart and got better service. I was able to buy an OTC primatine inhaler. Plus got some additional information on how I could catch my breath. Needles to say, I don't see stepping foot in another walgreen store again.
I don't blame the tech. The store had one customer at the front and about 5 employees. I was not Happy and Healthy and won't be trusting walgreens even if they claim trusted since 1901...I know it isn't me, ...Oh, those mottos don't even make sense..
Desired outcome: Don't really care since I won't go back. Better customer service.
