Chili's Grill & Bar

I received a Chili's gift card and decided to take my friend to the one in Glendale, N.Y.11385 where I have been numerous times. The waiter was great and the food better than ever. When I gave the waiter my gift card to pay he said that he could not process it because the machines were down . I paid with a credit card. I do not understand how I could use my credit card but not my gift card. I am going to mention not to buy me anymore gift cards for Christmas. I usually get at least 3 of them since my family knows I enjoy going there. Think of me as an ex-Chili gift card person.
