Americas Best Value Inn - hotel stay

This is very disturbing and honestly there isn't enough space on here to right it all. But my fiance's and my stay at your Horseheads locations was incredibly horrible and left perminent scars. While we stayed there back in August all the way into September (a total of 33 or 34 days) we were harrassed and tortured. Just one situation involved our room being entered into while we weren't there and someone accessing our drinks and administering a over the counter drug known as exlax into our beverages (Gatorade). Almost instantly upon returning the effects started to take place. With the first round effecting my fiance. She started complaining about her stomach not feeling well. To the point where she went into the bathroom and then began to "you know what unlike she had ever done before". She was in the bathroom for quite some time. I asked her if she was okay and she just kept yelling at me through the door telling me to leave her alone. Once that escapade was over, about a hour or two passes and along came my turn. With the same unpleasant surprise as here...

Now, with all that being said this is the thing. Did I just randomly come to think that one of your employees or guests had entered our room uninvited, unannounced and spiked our drinks? No. What lead me to believe that one of them did was when later on that night I walked over to turn on the AC and upon walking over I heard my name being mentioned outside. Right outside underneath my hotel room window was where staff and and guests would stand outside and smoke. That's when I heard the mention from one of the employees "I got them mother [censored]ers today though! I put exlax in they motha [censored]in' dranks! I know it worked cause I heard dem in they room yelling at each other and [censored]tin themselves!"

To whomever first reads this complaint... Please, I beg of you to understand one thing. This is not a hoax, this is not a joke, this is not some brilliant idea to get back at someone nor is it any bit of anything other than one hundred percent tradgic true story. My fiance and I are both kind, sweet and loving individuals whom both have genuine love in our hearts. I was wrongfully terminated from my employer shortly before our stay at your motel (I did fight the termination and it was investigated and found that I indeed was innocent of all allegations and was offered my job back. However, by that time I had lost my vehicle and had just lost my home. So I could not agree to my job back. Because I couldn't commit. That changed my families life. My fiance and I went to your establishment after losing our place. I spent every last bit of my savings and more. We kept paid up until our last day there when I didn't have the 50 I needed to pay for that upcoming night that they wanted paid for by 5 pm. Even though I had always been good with my payments. So they called the police and the police had us immediately leave the property and then gave us the word that we were told that we were bo longer allowed on the property and if we were seen on the property we would be arrested for criminal trespassing. Mind you we had stayed there for longer than 30 days straight and had been paid in full. And under New York State Law that means that the the hotel manager has to issue the tenant a eviction notice signed by a judge and given ex amount of time to leave. Well that didn't happen. But that was the least of our pain and suffering of our stay there. Even though we ended up homeless. Our stay there was torture and I feel like there should be appropriate action taken place and that I and my fiance receive a well owed apology as well as some kind of compensation. I'm not asking for anything crazy. But I am asking for us to be taken seriously and met with respect and spoke to with dignity. No matter what we look like as individuals or what we believe in. We are humans and we won't tolerate being treated as anything less such as we were when we stayed there. I have much more that I can tell you but I'll save it for our phone call when you all touch base with me in the very near future. I am prepared to take legal action and present authorities with the evidence in which I possess that shows our room being entered and our stuff being tempered with and on more than one occasion. I chose to wait this long so I could seek appropriate counsel and become educated on what I needed to be in order to take appropriate action. I as of now choose not to approach this with counsel as I feel like we can talk about this as adults and take a easy more reasonable route. I do not wish to hold the Americas best value inns franchise name responsible for few less than intelligent employees they employ. I would rather our story be heard and that you all sympathize and empathize with us instead.

Americas Best Value Inn - unprofessional, not as described, unsafe, unclean, unsatisfactory

A man holding his 2 year old daughter checked us in at 11pm. The room only supplied 2/3 of a roll of toilet paper, one shower towel although 2 persons were booked for stay, cigarettes were put out on the walls, the carpet was ripped in areas and extremely stained throughout, carpet was not vacuumed before our stay, bath tub full of soap scum and the shower curtain had mold. A fortune cookie wrapper was left on our nightstand from before our stay. Thankfully, we brought our own pillow cases/ sheet. Telephone was missing half the buttons, no microwave was provided as described when booking. Also when booking, website said pets stay free, but we were charged 50$ as a one time fee. Chicken bones were left on the hallway floor, was never cleaned through out stay. During our two night stay, not one housekeeper was seen. The entire first floor, houses long term customers, who clearly live there. The first floor reeks of cigarettes and even worse, ammonia, from the many cats and dogs you see at many of the sliding doors of the rooms. The smell is extremely nauseating, we completely avoided the first floor because of this. It is unbearable and quite unsafe. The second floor smell is slightly tolerable, mostly smelling like stale cigarettes. Upon leaving, a woman completely barefoot checked us out. This is the worst experience We have ever had at any hotel.
