So I bought a place from Clayton homes in NC. When I went in to Clayton homes that day I was with a family member who sat with us as I discussed everything with the sales man. I asked every question I could think of in regards to buying the home. One of the first 3 things I asked was about the drive way . the sales guy said yes we will do that for you and it comes with the land home deal. Well the 1st question was how long will this take to be done he tells me 4 mounths6 I said ok. It's been 3 months shy of a year and I'm still not in my home yet. The he tells me 5 days ago when I asked why has the drive gravel not been put down he tells me to my face o were not doing that and I'm not gonna say I didn't tell you that we were gonna do your drive because I may have. Wow so this guy tells me he went over spending cost and can't do the drive because he's trying to make up for cost he went over. So now I'm still not in my home and it's nothing but a mud pit because this guy is trying to screw me mind you there was a family member with me that day that also asked about the gravel drive situation. This is rediculas
Unfortunately, verbal agreements don't legally change a written contract. I hope the Clayton salesman didn't mislead you intentionally. It's a sad day when a customer needs to be an attorney just so he can buy something.
Hi Blue!
I have reviewed your complaint about Clayton homes. Did you read the contract that you had signed? It seems like if you had it would be very clear what you were are agreeing to.
I hope this helps!
