Cracker Barrel - Social distancing procedures and policies

To Whom it May Concern:
On January 22, 2021, my family and I all went to the Cracker Barrel in Jonesville, North Carolina. We have been proud patrons of this particular restaurant for many years and have always had a wonderful experience. With this visit, we had some family members from out of state that we hadn't seen in over a year and a half and were celebrating our family reunion with a breakfast at Cracker Barrel. While we were being seated, we told the host that we had 11 in our party (as there were 3 small children that needed high chairs). Instead of offering to accommodate our party and push some tables together, he put some of our party at a big round table, then walked the length of the dining room to seat the other half of us at another table. I requested that we all be sat together as this was a celebratory meal and he declined my request, stating that it was against their policy and that we had to socially distance. Even though we are all in the same party, same family and no one else was being sat in the back dining room (we were the only party in that room). I requested to see a manager and he declined and said that he couldn't do that. After asking for a manager 3 times. He finally got her. She stated that even though we were all in the same party, we had to be socially distanced and that we could not push any tables together in order to be together. Then, without any explanation or resolving our concerns, she promptly thanked us for our cooperation and went back into the kitchen. Afterwards, I called the Cracker Barrel corporate number to file a complaint, was placed on hold, asked to leave my name and number and to this moment in time, have yet to have anyone reach out to me or return my call. Not only am I absolutely appalled at this disregard for our requests and our families wishes, but I am disgusted that Cracker Barrel, as a whole, has such ridiculous policies that make in impossible for a party to gather. Please look into updating your policies, as I know that people are looking to gather together and without being able to, will simply take their business elsewhere.
