I am an avid online purchaser. I do 95% of ALL of my purchases online.
for the last 2 to 3 years I have been unable to make any purchases from ULTA Beauty online.
I have an ULTA credit card (can't use it online) as well.
When ever I try to use any credit card (or debit card) ANY — I get an error message that my payment method can't be processed. I call customer service and they transfer me around a bit finally to email me a response indicating I disputed a charge this time from April 2021 in the amount of 19.00 and some change (- last time it was from 2019). I have never disputed a charge from ULTA as I purchase very specific things from the store. I AM able to use any payment method in the store, just not online for shipping or same day pickup.
I bought a blowout brush that was 70.00 there was an online sale for $35.00 so I was going to buy that and a BadGal bang mascara. Not only was I not able to make the purchase, this time they actually charged my card — Twice! I went in to make the purchase only to find I couldn't get the sale price as it was online only.
As I have said, I do 95% of my shopping online, and have NEVER had anything this ridiculous happen.
I have tried reaching corporate about this, but can't get anyone but customer service who says it is the merchant services that are blocking this.
I will happily provide the email I received after verbally talking with "customer service" I guess for now I will be shopping other stores, and telling my friends to shop elsewhere as well.
Desired outcome: Resolve this nonsense so I can get my monthly and weekly beauty needs as I do with every other store.
