Kroger

Kroger, the 33523 8 Mile Rd, Livonia, MI branch, allowed a Black patron to be harassed with profanity and detained from leaving the store parking lot by a White woman using a stroller inclusive of a child in it as a weapon to keep this woman fro leaving the Kroger parking lot. Amazingly, the Kroger Security Guard stood and watched, without intervention for at least 15 minutes during this raced-based harassment. Kroger has not banned this unruly woman, yet the incident has caused harm to the local community where Kroger gladly accepts Black dollars without accountability for protecting Black bodies that are suppose to free from harassment while patronizing their business. This has garnered nearly 12, 000 comments on Yahoo commentary sections and the incident has gone viral. Kroger has yet to take a stance against such an obvious act of verbal and physical misconduct from the White woman toward the Black woman and the Black woman's innocent children.

Desirable Solution: The complaint should be resolved with a repudiation of their guard's inaction and a new plan to move forward to heal the Black community, whom felt the pain of the victim they have harmed. Kroger Corporate Office should invest into the community with an official statement barring the unruly customer for her raced-based behavior. An apology to the victim is the most basic of PR appropriateness.
