I live in the area, five minutes away. I've tried to go at various times of the day hoping to catch a "dead zone." every time i've gone-one register open one person to check out and at least a line deep of three people with loaded carts.
So this sounds fine... Right? No three people at the customer service booth (empty) talking. This is three months+ in a row of the exact same situation.
New management. One register one cashier during lunchtime is pretty off. I finally today asked for some help bagging my 70+ groceries and you would've thought I was doing the stop and shop world a horrible sin by asking for help.
Enter person at customer service chatting. I say "thanks so much for your help." I get eyes of death as her and I bag my groceries. Smashed eggs, shaken soda. I pay my $250 + grocery bill feeling like I just hurt someone and shouldn't buy food from stop and shop b/c it might offend the customer service folks... I work in customer service and this was by far the worst (continuous operation) i've ever seen.
Desired outcome: get some help or new mgmt
