At the drive through today in hyannis, ma on Rte. 132, Iannoughroad, I was told my credit card was declined for a purchase under $3. They didn't say "Sorry,...", just your card was declined 3 times. I immediately parked my car and called Mastercard thinking my card had been hacked and after spending 15 min with security, the fraud department, etc., they said Wendy's didn't put information in the register about their store location. I'm 70 old with a walking cane but went inside to let them know what happened. The manager said it was my card that was bad but after I explained she then said they had been having trouble with charges (the person who said my card declined ever told me that). She then asked if my card had a line. Not knowing what she was talking about, I showed her my card and she said "oh, it has a line," whatever that means. (It does have a chip.) I felt I was just getting the runaround, and I left. The whole experience was extremely odd and uncomfortable.
