Myself and 10 year old daughter went into our local wal mart on 3/2/2020 around 4:30pm. Requesting a wash, deep conditioner, & detangle for her hair. The hair stylist was very confident & reassured myself as well as my daughter that she would still have her long pretty hair & wouldn't chop off tangled pieces! We waited patiently for the service. She began working on my daughters hair. 45min into the service, I noticed my daughters hair looked strange. I went up to the chair which she was sitting & noticed the hair stylist cut all the tangled pieces out and my daughters hair was super short! The stylist stated, "well it was very tangled and i told you I had to cut through it." Not once did she ask if it was okay to cut my daughters hair! Her manager Gaysha was contacted and she was not compassionate at all! She told me, "Well you don't have to pay for the service and you can bring her in tomorrow to see what I can do." The hair stylist who chopped off my daughters hair apologizes and asked if I wanted to even out the cut. I stated no! It shouldn't have been cut in the first place. The reason I trusted Smartstyle to do my daughters hair is because each worker is licensed and I felt that the hair stylist could do her job! I'm a single mother of one living child and currently 7 months pregnant with twin boys. I wanted to pay someone who I trusted for the service instead of doing it myself only because of my work schedule. I'm beyond hurt and disappointed! The emotional pain and hurt my daughter is feeling now she shouldn't be feeling! I'm beyond disappointed with the service we received!
