22 April 2023 took my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 in for an Engine Tune-Up Service/Tire Pressure sensor repair. When I picked up my truck and turned my A/C on I noticed a weird smell coming from the vents and turned my A/C off. I opened my hood when I got home and discovered my Expansion valve had broken off the evaporator housing. This does not make any sense when my A/C worked fine before I brought it to the shop. I called Firestone back and they told me I can bring it in to look at it. They immediately denied that the mechanic was anywhere near that side of the vehicle which I find hard to believe if your changing spark plugs, Replacing the cabin air filter along with the complete vehicle inspection. The representative quickly pointed out that my compressor was leaking among other problems with my A/C system when I brought it back. My A/C did not have any issues before I brought it into Firestone for engine service. The situation continued to be frustrating as I brought my truck in for service and got it returned to me with a broken valve, but the store said it was good to go. I submitted a complaint but all I got was the store calling me telling me they were not responsible and that there is no way that the technician was in that area of my vehicle.
Desired outcome: I would like not to pay and spend hours of my time fixing something that was not supposed to happen, it is not right.
