Walmart - defective keyboard

On http://www.walmart.com I ordered a Compaq SR1055f Desktop Computer w/ Two Year Service Plan, using my Walmart Credit Card, as a major purchase. I paid it off in 10 months so, I paid no interest, on it. It came with keyboard & mouse. Several keys on the keyboard stopped working after the manufacture's warranty expired.
Disassembling & cleaning the keyboard, did not fix the problem. I called [protected], the office that handles the two year service plan, to file a claim. After giving all the requested information, I was told a replacement keyboard
equal to the original, would be sent to me. I was asked if I would accept a Microsoft Keyboard & I agreed. On 06/07/2010, I received, what the two year service plan representative calls, a generic keyboard, from Blue Raven Technology Inc, 110 Fordham Road, Wilmington, MA 01887. I called back the Two Year Service Plan office, about what I received. They said they would send me a postage paid label so, I can return the keyboard. Now, I was told if would buy a keyboard from someplace else, & sent them the receipt, they will reimburse me the cost, up to $50.00 . I still feel this would be a financial hardship on me, since I am now on fixed income. They could care less.

Not sure what the problem is but the keyboard they sent should have worked as long as it was a plug and play and also windows compatible.

If you are low on cash, may I suggest you go to local thrift stores. They have a good selection of keyboards for a matter of 5 bucks or so. Just keep in mind all you need to do is plug it in before you turn on the computer and the PC will recognize it.
