Citibank - Unethical behavior by assistant manager of Streamwood, IL Citibank branch

I am Khaja Ikramuddin and I have been a loyal Citibank customer for more than a decade and never experienced such rude and unethical behavior before by any employee or management except for
Assistant Manager - Rosalba Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625. She goes by the name Roe Pillay.

Last Tuesday 9th of March I was at the Citibank branch located at 800 S Barrington Rd, Streamwood IL 60107 with my Mother Hameedunnisa Begum who is also a senior citizen. I wanted her to add to my savings account and get a copy of the letter saying she is a joint holder with my account.

We were asked to wait by a Citibank employee as the Customer Personnel was already with a client. We sat in the waiting area and for 5 minutes before another customer came in asking for help with her PPP account. She was asked to wait with us as well. My mother who also is a senior citizen asked the employee if someone can help us first as we have to go to the DMV office. After a couple of minutes the Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625., (came with the same employee who asked us to wait) and told us we will be helped by another personnel who we had no idea she was the assistant manager. Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625, then asked the next customer who came after us for help with her PPP account to come to a desk and started helping her. It took them 45 minutes to help them we were wondering when we would be helped as the personnel who we were waiting for was still busy and these two ladies are helping customers who came after us.

When Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 and the other employee were done with the customer, we politely asked her can you help us now as we came before that customer and being waiting for almost an hour now., then the Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 said sorry the other employee is in training and cannot help you. I was like what does that mean, if she can be trained to help a customer to help with a PPP account we are she not being trained to help a customer like us who has an easier problem to resolve like just adding another customer to an account. Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 said no she does not know how to help us and we have to wait till the other personnel finishes with the customer (who she is helping for who knows how long, even before we had arrived at the branch).

I asked Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 (who I still had no idea is the assistant manager) I want to talk to the manager. She said the manager is not at the branch today and she (Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625) is the assistant manager. I got furious and asked her what kind of assistant manager are you and what kind of training are you giving your employees. You are training her to help with PPP accounts but you cannot train her to add a customer to another account. I asked her why are you being racist. Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 said my language is not acceptable, I responded your service is not acceptable and I need your business card. Without an apology Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 gave her business card.

Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 then asked us to come to the teller desk and if we cannot wait any longer she will help us. My mother said we told the employee who you were training that we are in a hurry and if she or someone can help us but instead you both helped the customer with the PPP account and kept us waiting. Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625, unethically started to process our request. Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625, said we will receive a survey in the mail about her service and handed us the letter we had asked for after adding my mother to my account before we left the branch.

Today it's been almost a week and we are still waiting for the survey. If this kind of Managers and assistant managers work for Citibank or any bank, that bank is bound to go out of business.
The employees like Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 have access to block surveys then Citibank management will never get any complaints or know truly how employees like Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 deal with customers every day.

Kindly please take action against Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625 and make sure Citibank personnel are being trained in Ethical manner.

Desired outcome: Please fire Assistant Manager - Roe Pillay, NMLS ID # 726625
