on Oct 19 2018 at 920 am three of us walked into the Springfield Illinois Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We were greeted and sat. The restaurant wasn't very busy and we ordered our food. We waited and waited the waitress didn't check on us, so we continued to wait finally after 35 minutes a manager walked by we flagged him down and asked to check on our order he quickly checked and said two cooks didn't show for work and it would be ready in a minute. Another ten minutes went by and we got our food I had to wipe brown oil off the side of my French toast plate and the food was extremely cold to the point the butter didn't melt on the French toast. To say the least it wasn't good we didn't send it back because it just wasn't worth waiting to recook and we had somewhere to be. The manager didn't come back to check on us however the waitress did but it was too late to complain I hope in the future the food gets better because I like the French toast if it's hot
