Steak 'n Shake

On 09/19/2019, at approximately 5:00pm, my wife and I went to pick up some supper at the drive thru window. I ordered a foot-long chili cheese dog and my wife got chili. We were given our amount and we proceeded to the window. Had a little wait but we accept that as your product is made fresh. Upon payment and receipt of our order we proceeded to leave. The bag was rather small compared to what we usually get when I order the foot-long, so I checked our order and, WHAM, I had received the regular hot dog. We proceeded back to the drive up and told them order was wrong. We were advised that the foot-long was no longer available. Understood. Your house, your rules., but what perturbed me is, why couldn't we get that info. on the first go-around?
