Honda Motor

I am the original owner of my 2016 Honda Pilot Touring. I have noticed that there is rust forming by the tailgate where you put your hand to open it. It has not been scratched or cut. I have also read that this has happened to other Honda owners (https://www.piloteers.org/threads/2016-pilot-just-noticed-a-bunch-of-rust-already.164573/). I took it to my local Honda dealership and they said there is nothing they can do. The vehicle should not be rusting already at 6 years old.
