Albertsons - Pharmacist treatment in filling a prescription

As an active board member of the BBB Northwest, I know consumer etiquette. After a life altering injury due a plane crash, I have struggled to overcome my chronic pain. I am a monthly patient of a pain center and have a good working relationship with his team. The pharmacist is not part of that care. But I fully support it if she attended my months in-person visits with the team of doctors that do aid in my healthcare. She failed to fill a script and drew attention to the other customers in doing so. Those customers drew facial conclusions that I am both an addict and drug seeker. Her shaming me in front of others is both inappropriate and unethical. I have a public job and go to great lengths to protect my reputation. Your employee crossed the line when she refused to fill a prescription that my provider authorized. She could have asked me to enter a private room to discuss her concerns. She didn't. Her actions drew undue attention to my narcotic use and inso doing, other customers noticed and the result was my reputation shamed. I have been an Albertsons shopper my entire life. I love so many things about my local grocer, and have enjoyed the attached pharmacy over the years since my accident. Because of the heightened attention to the national opiate concerns, I can understand her sensitivities, but no way is it appropriate for her to unilaterally dictate and deny a script when she is witness to less than 5% of the details of my healthcare needs. Albertsons needs to do a better job in teaching their pharmacists how to better partner with physicians in the treatment of patients, who are also their customers. I am at a loss at to what I can do to better educate the pharmacist that treated me so poorly. I understand this issue is opening up a pandora's box, but the rubber meets the road with people like me and better policies need to be established to ensure anonymity with customers using opiates. And how I deal with the reputational hit I took that day is still unknown to me.
